1948 civilian 1-ton power wagon, hich I consider a survivor truck that is 99% complete with about the only things missing are the passenger sun visor and rear view mirror. Original red & black truck with one repaint, he most sought after color combo on these power wagons.
The cab, oors, ood, ront & rear fenders and running boards are very straight and rust free for a 68 year old truck. All door and vent glasses are in excellent condition and roll up and down. The roughest part of the truck is the bed which is not uncommon for these were work trucks. The only rust on the truck is at the rear of the bed where they had tool boxes mounted, lso the metal strips that hold the wood planks in the bed floor will need to be replaced. Front panel and tailgate on bed need replaced. I believe the bed sides are usable. The bed also has the shovel, xe, nd pick brackets and hardware which is a cool feature. Frame is straight, ust free and has no stress cracks and also has the original pintle hitch.
The original engine (dated Oct. 47) starts right up and purrs like a kitten, rakes and park brake work fairly well. This truck has no leaks. As far as I know everything works, wheel drive, arn hubs, U-2 winch (dated 1948), lectric wipers, eadlights, anel and cowl lights, nd even the unity spot light, ome light, nd cigarette lighter work. All dash gauges work except the speedometer (indicator dial has fallen off, ommon on these power wagons). Has 5 brand new 9.00-16 tires mounted on powder coated Budd wheels (almost $2,000 value).
These power wagons built this country post WWII and are one of the coolest trucks on the planet and are getting very hard to find in this condition, o own a piece of history. 100% MADE IN THE USA!!!!!!!
I had a title recovery service get the necessary documents for a title. The documents are from the state of Vermont. I had to register the truck in Vermont and pay the taxes on the value and weight of the truck. The registration/title document is in my name and is fully transferable. I have confirmed this with the VT and CO motor vehicle so rest assured the buyer will be able to obtain a title in your name and state. The serial # on the frame matches the serial # on the body tag. Buyer is responsible for transporting. Truck is located in Elizabeth, O. I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime and please do not ask what reserve is. If your serious and have more ?'s about the title or truck contact me thru ebay and I will reply. Sold as is with no warranty. Thanks for looking.
