1958 Fiat 600 Multipla North American Version Project Car not running. The North American version is much more rare than the European counterpart and considered more collectible due to its limited number made and the smaller number in existence. I bought this very rare and collectible car with the intent to bring back to its originality. but unfortunately I no longer have the space of facility to work on it. So I am offering it to someone who can finally restore it to its glory. As you may know. lately this car is getting more and more interest from collectors around the world due to its rarity and history. This particular model has 5 seats. The engine. body and transmission has matching numbers. The engine is an original first version 633cc. ( water cooled 4 cylinders) The car is still in its original bi-color exterior paint. The interior is complete with all its original. rare and hard to find parts. The engine is original and complete but it's stuck due to long time inactivity. Regarding the body condition. it's a very solid car from the floor and up with only some superficial rust. The floor for an almost 60 year old car shows it age with some rust through. so it needs to be fixed or replaced. Also the sill under the doors have some rust through areas. There are also some rust through in the low rear quarter panel. The whole front panel which is the most rare and irreplaceable is in good shape with only a few spots of superficial rust. The rare front "bug-eyes" lights have no rust and are complete with lens and frame. The engine compartment is in very good condition. The 2 front suicide doors and the 2 rear doors surprisingly still close nice and tight. The doors still have their original aluminum handles and locks. The doors do have some rust at the bottom but nothing to be concerned about. The odometer is showing 26185 miles which I believe is original. The car can be moved easily and turns manually left and right. The 2 back drums are broken and has to be replaced. There are spare rims. spare tire and some tools. some books and manual all come with the car. The original front and back bumpers ( American version) come with the car but there is rust and some bending so they definitely need refurbishing and rechroming. The rare heat radiator is still under the dash in the front. All the glasses are in good shape except for the windshield which is cracked. The manuals. books. spare tire and parts that you see in the picture are included. If you would like more particular pictures. please contact me. Overall I believe this car in this kind of complete and original condition is getting very hard to find and it really deserves to be restored. As you may know. almost all parts are easily available on ebay and other internet sites. I have very good direct source for parts in Italy so I will be happy to help only the buyer to find the parts for complete restoration ( like body parts and even windshield ). I go very often to Italy for business so perhaps I can also help with shipping the parts. The car is sold in the condition as is and has no warranty. It is located in Toronto Ontario Canada. The car is sold with Ontario ownership ( Title) in my name. Note the trailer is not included in the price of the listing. I can help the buyer to arrange shipping if needed but please do your own research regarding cost of transportation to your area. There is no problem to export to the US and it's a smooth straight forward procedure. Easiest and most cost effective way is to pick up the car yourself. I can store the car for a reasonable time. If this is a concern. please contact me for the length of time you need before you can pick up the car. I put many pictures. please look carefully. I tried to describe the condition of the car to the best of my knowledge with descriptions and pictures but if it is possible. I suggest for your to come and inspect the car personally before bidding. The car is about 15 km (10 miles) from Toronto airport. I can pick you up if you need. I will assist the buyer to load the car unto a trailer if you are picking up the car personally. Buyers who have less than 10 feedback. please contact me before bidding otherwise I will cancel your bid. I reserve the right to remove the listing anytime because the car is also advertised locally. Dec. 6. 2014 Update picture and more information:Today since it was nice weather. I took the car out because many people asked me about the condition of the floor. I understand that many people cannot come to examine the car personally due to the distance so to make you feel more comfortable in considering this Multipla I tore off part of the old rubber mat and the original insulation to be able to check more close up. 1) on the passenger side in the front is still good. there is some rust in the center but it resisted the screwdriver test. 2) on the driver side. there is a hole so it definitely has to replaced 3) rear floor definitely need to be fixed or replaced 4) all 4 inner arches of the wheels are in good condition and still has the original weather protection paint 5) back part of the interior. on top of the engine is good condition 6) the tunnel in the center is good condition 7) all interior front under the dash is in good condition. I will also put some new pictures of the areas that I just described but if you would like to see more pictures. please ask. Also if you would like more information and would like to talk to me. please send me your number and best time to call. I still believe this Multipla is a rare find and deserving of a full restoration to get back to its originality. Please check the price of Multiplas sold in auctions around the world in restored condition ( including a few sold lately on eBay in US). I will add with the car. a new rack. from old stock. original from the time of the car (please see picture). I will also add some spare parts that I found ( some are new and some are used). Dec. 14. 2014 Update:I have many questions about shipping overseas. I have lots of experience with shipping to Europe and as far as Japan. So I can help the buyer with finding best shipping method and preparing the right documents to export. Shipping to Europe is around $1700 in an enclosed container.
