1966 Fairlane XL Convertible. This is a rust free car I bought from a guy in Alabama who had got it from California a few months prior. I spoke with the owner of it in California when I had to get his signature on the mileage part of the title. He said he owned it since High School and parked it in the 80's. He kept it in dry storage since then. If you've ever wanted to restore a car you'll appreciate this one. What surface rust is on the car can be wiped away with steel wool. I already power washed the engine bay and underneath the car when I was getting ready for paint removal. It's missing the driveshaft and radiator. They had put a 50 cent size hole in the trunk for a CB radio also. There's a fixable crease in the hood and the hood emblems are nice. Glass is good all the way around. Everything I bought for it was for restoring it as a GT. The 289ci engine and C4 transmission weren't numbers matching anyway. You're welcome to come look at the car in Warsaw. IN before you buy. My phone is 574-269-4666. The engine came out of my 57 Fairlane when I put the 410 in the 57. it had about 30. 00 miles on it. ran good and didn't burn any oil. It's about a 270 HP engine. The C6 transmission I bought from a guy in Ft. Wayne and he was installing a 460 in his car and couldn't use the FE C6 which is already set up for floor shift. I'll only accept bank transfers or cash.
