1997 FORD EXPLORER LIMITED

This Explorer has about every feature available when it was manufactured. It has been well cared for and maintained. All servicing has been done by Ford. It has probably been the most reliable, rouble free vehicle we have owned. It has a 5.0 V8, utomatic transmission with over drive, nd all wheel drive. As far as we know, t has no mechanical issues. The engine still has excellent power and it starts easily, ven in very cold weather. It had about 42,000 miles when we bought it; the current mileage is 195,557--it is still being driven daily.
It is a pearl beige/champagne; the black paint trim on the upper back area has faded. It has never been in an accident and has only some minor marks, ings or scratches. There is a small area of chipped paint just in front of the lower edge passenger door (can be seen in side picture). There is some rust on the rear bumper that could probably be removed or at least lightened with CLR. It has light beige leather seats and carpet. The front seats have some cracking and there are three small tears in the leather on the side of the driver's seat (see pictures). One or both back seats can be folded forward for more cargo space. The passenger side rear seat has damage from the head rest sticking to the leather after the seat was folded down for an extended period (see picture).
The center console computer screen provides information regarding fuel status, ileage, ystem information, tc. It has driver and passenger air bags and anti-lock brakes, M/FM radio, assette and multi disc CD players, limate control AC front and back seat; back seat controls for sound system and AC, nbsp;power windows and door locks, ower driver and passenger seats, ear window wiper and defrost, eated power side mirrors; cruise control, ilt steering wheel; automatic on/off headlights, eyless entry and lighted touch pad entry; anti theft system and alarm, unning boards, oof rack, lloy wheels. It has new Wrangler mud and snow tires on the front and older Wrangler mud and snow tires on the rear.
It has a few minor issues. Sometimes the ignition key can be removed when it is not in the lock position. The lock button on the driver side locks all doors and the back but no longer unlocks them. Occasionally the front driver side door requires more than one press of the keyless entry remote or the touch pad entry to unlock. The radio off button doesn't always stay down and the retractable antenna is noisy but does work. The passenger front window does not go down. The brakes make a bumping feeling sometimes due to a hot spot caused by driving with the emergency brake on. On acceleration, t makes a ticking sound which started several years ago; it has never changed in intensity and we are not aware of any problems that it is associated with.
