1954 Ford F100 429 Cobra Jet CJ Hot Rod

This Father and Son project started 15 or so years ago with a 1954 F100 and a 1971 Ford LTD Georgia State Patrol car. The Drip rail is smoothed, oor handles are smoothed, ransmission tunnel from 72 Torino was added to allow the body to sit low. Fiberglass one piece tilt front. New unfinished Dan carpenter Bed (no tailgate). New Fiberglass +3 rear fenders, ew fibergalss running boards, ew one piece window kit not yet installed, ew customgauges, ew rare 72 Mustang Manual steering box, SD ignition box, riffin aluminum radiator, ew weatherstrip kit for doors and windows.
Engine is a1971 429CJ 4 bolt main block, ored .030 over stock. 11:1 pistons, ild street cam. Original DOOE-R Heads done by Digger Don Dixon, ith Hardened seats, .25 intake and 1.90 exhaust. Exhaust port smoothed. Runs strong.
Frame is 1971 LTD with rails reversed to fit the Body and bed, ll new bushings on frontend.
Rear end is a Narrowed 9” with a Detroit locker, .70:1 gears and 31 spline Curry axles, arrera coil over shocks.
Transmission is a C6 Auto with original R servo. completely gone through with B&M kit.
It’s been to town for a front end alignment and to the fun ford weekend for a dyno run and a few trips up the road just for the hell of it. Other than that, t’s been in the shop.
My Dad and I would love to finish it, ut we keep getting side tracked on motorcycle projects.
