1968 Mustang Fastback 289 auto A/C

Selling my cherished 1968 Mustang Fastback. A true head-turner. even here in sunny Southern California. the land of the Lamborghini. Not a day goes by that someone isn’t taking pictures of the car or flashing me a thumbs up. This car simply makes folks smile — and the biggest grin is usually on the face of the person behind the wheel. I’ve enjoyed every minute of owning it; It's been a part of our family. I’ve had MANY (documented) upgrades done in the past two years. To list just a handful… SUSPENSION UPGRADES Most classic Mustangs ride like a stagecoach. A front-end suspension replacement cured that. Replacements included: Outer Tire Rod Ends. Inner Tire Rod Ends. Fan Shroud. Strut Rod Bushings. Coil Springs Insulator and Lower Control Arm Assembly. Also rebuilt the front shock towers and installed a new front sway bar kit. BRAKE UPGRADES Upgraded front brakes from Drum to Disc (10/23/13). and it’s been as transformative as I’d hoped. (Stopping is an important part of Hollywood driving. ) Kit was upgraded with calipers that are Powder Coat [Red] and Drilled and Slotted. The “old” power brake booster was still working great. so I’ve got a replacement if it’s ever needed. ($374 retail) Replaced three lines. including the emergency break line. EXTERIOR/INTERIOR UPGRADES Car is parked in a covered car port. and regularly detailed. And while people always praise the paint job. it isn’t show quality. (It’s what my grandpa called a “10 footer. ”) I’ve replaced most badging and the horse emblems are >6 months old. Upgraded floor mats and trunk mats; installed new. period-correct Rear-View Mirror; replace frame rail; rebuilt speedometer and replaced cable; upgrade Accelerator Pedal; Installed HushMat dampening in the trunk. which GREATLY reduces road noise -- car is now much quieter than any Mustang I've ever driven/owned! MECHNICAL UPGRADES Installed ignition Module and Coil (goodbye points!); Recently replaced Battery; Timing set within the past year; Installed Kill Switch; Replaced thermostat housing and gasket; Replaced Power Steering Control Valve. A/C hoses. (A/C works great. even in LA summer. ) Has been a reliable daily driver. BODY UPGRADES Replaced Door Sills. Replace Passenger-Side Window Regulator (Any mechanic will tell you this is the biggest pain in the a$$ repair on a Mustang.
