2007 Shelby GT Ford Mustang with Trasferable Extended Warranty

2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT with Extended Warranty:

I am offering the sale of my 2007 Shelby GT. I have really enjoyed owning and driving this car. I will likely again own another one just like it again someday. However, just purchased a Shelby GT500KR with only 6k original miles, hich cost over two and a half times my asking price for the Shelby GT. Also, t is time for me to buy my wife a new car.

Warrantee Info:
The car has been diligently maintained and comes with a very good extended warranty, hich is transferable to the new owner. I have the option to cancel the warranty and be reimbursed for the last year of the warranty, hich I have already paid for. However, have decided to keep the warranty attached to the car and forgo on receiving the prorated check in order to promote buyer confidence in the vehicle and to facilitate an expedient sale. The extended warranty is by AUL. My contact at Lambs Automotive expressed to me his surprise with the quality of this extended warranty and relayed his satisfaction and ease in dealing with the warranty company. I wish my new car had the same warranty with AUL.

The warranty will expire in one year from now or when the vehicle reaches 77k miles, hich is more likely to comes first. Currently, he vehicle has 69k miles, hich will cover approximately 8,000 additional miles. This should be an ample time to provide its new owner the peace of mind and confidence that he or she made a really good choice. It has been a totally reliable vehicle for me, hich I have used as a daily driver and has never once broken down on me. I will provide the buyer with the warranty transfer papers upon sale. There is only a $50 transfer processing fee to be turned in with the transfer papers to AUL.

About the Shelby GT:
For those of you not familiar with the Shelby GT, hey began as a regular production Mustang GT with leather interior (valued at $27,995) and produced at Ford's Flat Rock, ichigan factory. These GT's were then subsequently shipped to Carol Shelby's performance facility in Los Vegas, evada. Here they received an additional $10,530 worth of Ford Racing performance and handling package upgrades, long with cosmetic Shelby upgrades and Shelby production licenses. The Shelby GT's were then delivered to selective Ford dealers around the country who had customers on a wait list with pre-paid deposits. The final MSRP was $36,970 although dealers added a premium over the MSRP, ecause they could due to the very limited production.

Shelby Performance Upgrades:
Each Shelby GT conversion received both a Ford Racing Power Pack upgrade and Handling Package upgrade along with Shelby styling mods inspired by classic 1960's mustangs. The Power Pack consists of a 90-millimeter cold-air intake, eworked engine calibration, pgraded exhaust flow (via a new X-pipe) and a shorter rear axle ratio (3.55 versus the GT's 3.31), nd a Hurst short-throw shifter. The Handling Pack consists of shorter springs, tiffer dampers and an upgraded front antiroll bar. The shorter springs drop the car 1.5 inches, front strut-tower brace and P235/55ZR18 tires complete the Shelby GT's handling upgrades. They begin with a pair of silver Le Mans racing stripes painted over either a white or black coupe (no convertible versions are planned). Additional "Shelby GT" side stripes connect the 18-inch chrome wheels and run underneath unique side scoops (just ahead of the rear wheel wells). A lower front fascia with a brushed-aluminum grille, Cobra-inspired hood scoop, nd "SHELBY" classic-font letters on the face of the deck lid, ust as it appeared on the 1968 GT500 KR. The Shelby theme continues inside with "Shelby GT" floor mats, oorsill plates and an authentication plate above the center stack featuring a CSX number (a matching CSX numbered tag is located in the engine compartment).

Additional Upgrades:
For a more aggressive exhaust sound, have since added Flowmaster Outlaw Series Axle-back exhaust, hich truly sound amazing when combined with the Shelby X-pipes. The result is a finely tuned sounding race car growl, ithout being overly loud and obnoxious. I still role down my windows to fully hear the effect as I crossing under an overpass or drive through a parking garage. It always puts a smile on my face. It could not sound any better. I did saved the original Ford Racing mufflers and will include them with the car.

I also updated the intake manifold with Ford's new and improved version for the 4.6 engine. Over time, ord realized the secondary butterfly valve on the opposite side of the manifold (designed to assist with better fuel economy) tended to stick in either the open or closed positions. They discovered this was because the butterfly valve pivoted on a small plastic boot, hich tend to wear out over time. Instead of replacing the plastic boots, r even the butterfly valve itself, y extended warrantee covered replacing the entire intake manifold. Most recently, purchased new brakes for the car last week, hich as of today, have not installed yet.

Some cosmetic things I've added to the car include an aftermarket lower grill from Shelby, pecifically designed for the 2007-08 Shelby GT. When the car was released by Shelby in 2007, he cars did not have a lower grill, robably to increase better airflow as seen on the AC Cobra roadsters. However, his left the radiator exposed to rocks and minor road derby, o Shelby designed an aftermarket lower grill to be purchased on their website for the Shelby GT. At the same time I ordered the grill, also bought their stamped aluminum rear tail light trim, black and silver (matching the car) Carol Shelby plate frame. For additional classic styling, purchased pre-painted black quarter window louvers from Roush.
