Life is too short and the garage is too full! After building several street rods, his was a five year attempt to build my version of the "Ultimate" '40 Ford street rod pickup. With the help of many talented friends, am pleased to say, t resulted in what you see... a NSRA T-shirt car, Goodguy's "Coolest" pick, Portland Roadster Show Best in Class (Radical Custom Street Rod Pickup) winner, Napa calendar car, display case full of trophies and what I thought was the best, he comment from the "George Barris" "Pretty darn cool truck, uy!" The drive train is straight forward, blueprinted 355"Chevy small block, built 350 Turbo trans, "Fatman" tubular independent coil over front end with power rack and pinion steering, ower disc brakes. A parallel sprung 3:50 Ford 9" with sway bar and power disc, ll on Weld billet wheels.
The real labor of love (and expense) was in the all steel body modifications. Shaved front bumper, ustom front grille center, peaked with extended sides hood (for flush fit), illed cowl vent, " chopped windshield with v-butted glass, "Carson" lift off padded top covering an integrated roll bar (all fits in the bed), uicide doors, ower windows, 10 1/2" extended cab, ll custom sculpted tweed interior (look close for the designs), illed aluminum "Dakota Digital" dash, ilt wheel, emote opening doors, ed cover, ide opening metal padded bed cover, ver a totally hand fabricated, ubbed, with hidden lower tool/battery storage) bed with modified passenger car rear fenders, and fabricated 8 light rear flush mounted tail lights over a frenched rear rolled pan. I didn't want it to look obvious but every panel has been modified one way of another on this truck. All topped out with super body work and PPG Royal Twilight Pearl paint with air brushed "Asphalt" flamed graphics. With five years of constant work and 25 years of money, his truck has more than met all of my expectations.
Always the big question, hat's wrong with it and if it is so great, hy are you selling it. I never put any tunes in it (even on several stater wide crossings) I preferred to listen to FM V-8 tunes and I never charged up the Vintage Air (R-12), hen it was cooler to take the top off. Basically it is a great custom pickup that you can still put your personal touch into it. My garage is packed full and I am hoping that I still have one last build in me. I am putting all my efforts into finishing other rides and can use the space. It has sadly become another trophy sitting in the corner of the garage. Someone needs to be driving and showing this special truck.
As usual "As is, here is" warranty. I didn't build this to sell it, o I didn't take any short cuts on quality. If I can be of help with any additional answers to questions, elp set up shipping/loading,etc. please feel free to e-mail or give me a call (509) 467-8773 I might consider an interesting trade. Thanks for looking, ave
