Exterior: Mostly original paint, ooks like hood and driver front fender have been repainted. Both hood and fender have some dents, will include good straight used hood and fender strapped in the back with the truck. Driver side box has damage as shown(dented, hen pounded out). Full replacement panel from LMC is readily available and affordable. Inside box panel behind that dent was pushed in some (shown in pics) but can be straightened. Only rust thru is on that same panel, here pine needles packed in from stake pocket above and held moisture. Some surface rust areas as shown, ut nothing horrible. This is a lifelong California truck, o it's dry compared to the sitting-at-the-bottom-of-a-lake Eastern rigs. Will upload underside pics to linked Photobucket album. No rust or rot that I can see on the underside. Carpet has been replaced, aven't peeled it up to check underneath but I don't see any floor rust from underneath. Windshield is good with no cracks, nly a few small chips. Chrome XLT trim is overall good with a few dings here and there. The short upper box molding end pieces at the back of the box have some extra holes with screws. Box storage/toolbox handle needs new lock. Tailgate is somewhat bowed, ard to see in pics. Some damage to passenger fender and door from where the rubbed together at bottom corner. I readjusted the gap and remedied the situation. Grilles are nice, ut grille surround has dings and extra holes and will need to be replaced if you restore the truck. Bedliner is out of another truck, ou will note it has a provision for 5th wheel hitch, ut this truck has never had a 5th wheel hitch. Also, riginal underhood firewall and box buck tags are still present and in good condition!
Interior: Good driver quality, riginal dash and XLT door panels have no cracks or tears, river door panel has a few extra screw holes. Seat has been professionally redone. Carpet is an inexpensive replacement that would need to be upgraded if you want it as nice as the seat. Most everything works, auges, eater, arking brake, ncluding the intermittent wipers! Only thing I think not working are some of the dash lights. Radio works, ut isn't the best. Truck will need weatherstrip if you restore it. Original jack is underhood and handle bolted under the seat as it was from the factory.
Mechanical: Starts, uns, nd stops great. I took the truck to a professional mechanic for a once-over when I got it last year, nd he did some brake work on it(stops straight and true, ven parking brake works) replaced the steering column shift collar (tight and nice now, ven shift light works) he checked and the original 360 was rebuilt and 390 reciprocating assembly installed, t really pulls well! Runs very strong. Not sure of mileage on rebuild, ut I don't notice any noises, moke, r leaks and oil pressure is good. Trans shifts well and original equipment 3.50 31 spline traction-lok rear (worth a considerable sum on it's own) seems great. Truck has been converted to hubs and part time 4WD, nd that all works good. I drove the truck as a backup rig for several months, nd it worked fine. Power steering pump is quiet, nd original oil bath air cleaner is still present. Only major issue is that it NEEDS TIRES, nd front suspension should be looked at, eeds trac bar bushings for sure. I put on a newer set of 31" tires when I got the truck, nd it drove fine on them, ut I've put those on my new 79 now and put these tires back on that were on it when I got the truck. It drives ok on smooth roads, ut any rutted roads it will follow the ruts and it's pretty unnerving. So that needs to be attended to before the real enjoyment of driving one of these fine trucks (the best ever built in my opinion). Wheels are late model aluminum 90s Ford and are in good condition. As far as the smog, ll the smog equipment is there, ut it's not hooked up and the truck has non-stock exhaust headers. I will not sell to CA buyers as the truck failed smog testing there and I don't want to get into any hassle over trying to re-certify it.

While the truck runs well, t's probably not a good plan to fly in and drive it home since it's an old truck, nd stuff happens. Cell service is poor in Montana and it's a long way between towns. Montana title isclear with no liens, n my name. After the sale, can store the truck outside for up to 30 days free, fter that $100 per month storage will be due. Buyer needs to get insurance as soon as truck is paid for as I will cancel mine at that time.
