Description

I have a decent 1965 mustang that has all of the GT appearance upgrades, t has a nice 9" rearend already installed and the car is in decent shape. Here are the facts that I know about the car. The vin is 5F07A336637 which is on the title, tamped on the fender aprons and matches the door tag. This shows that the car came from the factory as a 289 4V 4 speed car. The car now has a V8 engine 289/302 (I've not looked into which it is) and a C4 automatic transmission that is mated to a nice 9 inch rearend. This engine in the car now has a 2 barrerl carb and intake instead of the factory 4 barrel setup. It does have a set of nice Cobra finned aluminum valve covers on it though. The body is banged up with minor rust on the quarters, ery small rust in the corners of the doors and a few bubbles on the lower fenders. All of these panels are repairable if someone wants to work them. The inner structure is nice as are the frame rails, loor pans, runk pans etc. At some time in the past it appears that someone has replaced some of the front frame rails by looking at the lower frame to floor pan welds, ut everything is functional as it should be. This car does still have appear to have the factory floor pans, actory doors, ost of the factory quarters (1 appears to have been patched with a patch panel), actory fenders, tock hood with some aftermarket hood scoop. All of the interior is there and isn't in terrible shape, t would need carpet and a dash pad to be pretty nice again. This car has been sitting for approximately 10 years, have recently putthis car on the liftto start preparing it to get ready to run again. So far I dropped the oil pan, dded a new screen, ew oil pan gasket, ew oil pan, ew oil and filter, ew spark plugs, ew spark plug wires and a new starter. Next up(if it don't sell) will be cleaning/rebuilding the carb and fuel system. The engine turns over freely with the new starter, nd the internals of the engine looked great with the oil pan off. This car does have the original style GT brakes on the front, t appears to have the larger gt style sway bar as well, nd it has the gt style tie downs on the rear frame rails. I have a clean clear South Carolina title in hand ready to transfer. I encourage any persons interested in this car to research it, ake sure it is what you want and make sure you want the car before you bid on it. I can possibly get other pictures of this car if desired, ut I work out of town and have limited time in my shop to access it.
