Documented authentic Zebra 3 1975 Gran Torino used in filming for 1970’s Starsky & Hutch Televison Series and 2004 Feature Film.
This car was built by George Barris in Studio City, alifornia and has a working life in Hollywood of over 30 years. Recently featured at the 2014 BC Classic and Custom car show (see photos). This is not a trailer queen or a 100 point show car. This is a Hero Car that was used for close-ups and driving scenes in the original Starsky & Hutch television production and the 2004 movie. All Hollywood fittings including the front air suspension and camera mounts underneath the car remain intact and functional. Original body panels ripple and dent free. Original floors, uarters and trunk. No squeaks, reaks or rattles. Eleven thousand one hundred and forty three miles on odometer are original as car has been driven only on select occasions. Not used for stunt work and in exceptionally good condition throughout with only minor wear on some surfaces which is unusual for a working Hollywood vehicle or any car of this age. The photos are an accurate depiction of how the car presents. It drives as new with all options and accessories operating as they should. Highly sought after black interior with bucket seats and console shifter. Leather wrapped wheel and factory positraction differential. Rebuilt Hi-performance 351W engine with 4bbl aluminum intake, oller rockers and RV cam.Less than 1,000 miles on new engine. Barris applied paint with stripes and custom dual exhaust completed at his Studio City shop. Original title from Barris Kustom Industries and Certificate of Authenticity provided to winning bidder (see photo). No expense has been spared to return this vehicle to pristine condition. Includes movie promotional banner (see photo), uthentic George Barris Edition scale model (see photos) with COA and display case. Spare dashpad and dash panel signed by George Barris and red police light go with car. Fully functional and shop serviced 8 track AM/FM stereo. I maintain a large, nique car collection as a hobby. Restoring exceptional cars is my passion. The time has come to cull the herd. This is not a forced sale. If she doesn't find the right new owner, 'm fine with that. Reserve is set at a reasonable price which is less than half of what I have invested in the car. A great deal less than the previous unsuccessful closing bid of this vehicle on Ebay in 2008 that did not reach Reserve. See link for previous listing of this car on Ebay dated 06/08/08:
