This truck is priced right at a beginning bid of $20,000 and no reserve. I am selling to trim the herd a little as I currently have 5 antique cars to make room in my garage.Newly restored completed in 2016 early 1928 Model A Ford open cab or roadster pickup. These early ones are sometimes called AR. This is an early 28 Ford with the emergency brack on the left hand side like a Model T. The transmission is a multi-disc. Brakes have the early cross shaft system where the emergency brake pulls on all 4 wheels. There are no separate emergency brake bands in the rear drums. There are very few parts on this early 28 that are like any Model A built after mid-1928. See the Model A Judging Standards for early AR details. I also have a copy of a 100+ page writeup listing most known early 28 Ford features. Freshly painted sheet metal with urethane single stage rock moss green and black fenders. Early AR wheels with 4 new tires. Very little body work had to be done with minimal bondo repairs. Engine has had a valve job and new rings installed. New oak wood in bed. I just spent $2,000 to have the brake system completely rebuild by Snyders with new cast iron drums, ew brake rods, ew shoes arced to the drum and all wear pieces replaced or restored. New interior by LeBarron Bonney. New soft top installed. Truck was restored with all the early parts I could find. The list of parts in common with later Model As is very short.Car is located in southwest metropolitan area of Houston, X near Sugarland, X
