Don't let the pics fool you! This is a diamond in the rough! I'm listing it for my friend. He bought it 10 years ago as a running. driving car for $3500. He decided he wanted to build it into a hot rod and proceeded to take it off the road and tear it down. He brought the 302 and C4 into a local Mustang shop. paid them $6000 and had the motor and trans completely redone. Everything is brand new with 0 miles. He then dropped an additional $3000 and had a local body man completely cherry out the body. About that time. life threw the owner some pretty serious curveballs and the car was put out to pasture (literally). The car has been sitting out in this field. covered by a blue tarp since 2009. He realizes he made a very expensive mistake. has gotten past that and now just wants it gone! Hence. the low starting price and ridiculously low reserve! The rust you see is only surface rust. All bodywork has been done and all panels are straight. The doors along with all trim and most everything else are inside the car. All parts that you don't see on the exterior are inside the car. There are some patch panels riveted to the floorboards so I suspect there may be some rust issues in that area. which is odd because this is a California car. There is no upholstery. He was going to buy all new seats and door panels. The old interior got tossed before he bought any of the new stuff. The motor has been bored out. new pistons. reconditioned rods. reconditioned crank. the heads have been ported. new hi-rise manifold. MSD ignition and all external parts are new. Don't know exactly what else was done to the motor because the shop that did the work purges all records after 3 years. The trans has been completely gone through. as well. Again. not sure exactly what was done because of the records purge. Motor and trans have been stored inside. The bad part is. the owner has lost the pink slip and DMV won't issue a duplicate until $629 in back fees have been paid. Car was last registered in 2009. The owner is more than willing to go to DMV with the new buyer to settle any issues. This is definitely a project but major pieces are done. New 302 and C4 as well as all body work completed. Someone is gonna score!
