Description

1968 Mustang Fastback GT. Black with red interior. 1 of 1 with very rare options. Convenience control panel. Bench seat with headrest. Tinted windows. Deluxe steering wheel. 8,000 RPM tach with trip odometer. Visibility Group. Power Steering and power disc brakes. Ordered with all 5 factory chrome GT wheels. J - Code 302 4v withC4 Automatic transmission. Original 9 inch rear end. All of this is documented notonly by themarti report but we have the original build sheet thatshows these options as well. This is a numbers matching car that is all original except for a few things that have been upgraded. The radio was upgraded but we have the original. There were speakers added to the rear trunk access door. But I have an original that is uncut that goes with the car if the buyer wants it. Theoriginal exhaust was replaced with modern turbo mufflers. I believe the radiator has been replaced with a new one.The engine is all original except, t has a new holley 600 electric choke carburetor that runs excellent. We have the original carb that came off the car. The underside of the car is in excellent shape, ll original and rust free. It was factory undercoated and I removed a little on the floor pans toshow the original primer underneath (See Pictures). Car has all original sheet metal. The interior is original and is in excellent shape. The driversside headrest has a crack in the vinyl. All thegauges, ach, onvenience control lights, nterior lights, tc. all work. The car was painted 1 time approximately 20 years ago. It looks good from a short distance but up closeyou see that its in needof a paintjob. There are some bubblesshowing on the corners of both doors and on the edges of the wheel wells on the rear quarter panels. The rear trunk lid looks like it has had filler put in it in the 2 corner spots where they all rust in back when it was painted. The last owner hadowned the car the past 14 years and drove the car regularly. Myself allI would do is repair the very minor spots on the outside of the body and put a nice paint job on the car and new weather stripping. Detail the engine compartment, rive thecar and enjoy it. This is a veryrare, riginal car with rare options 1of 1. I have been restoring 67 and 68 mustangs for 30 years. I bought the car to keep and go with my black 67 S Code which is also 1 of 1. But Ihave decided to sell this 1 for now without restoring it.Pleasecall before bidding if you have any questions. I have many more pictures I can email if you are serious.$1000 deposit through paypal is due within 48 hours of auction end. Full payment is due within 7 days of auction end.Car is sold as is where is. Full payment must clearmy bank or cash be in hand before the car is picked up. Thanks for your interest.
