This is my 1939 Ford Pickup project that the wife says"NO MORE $$$" Darn It! Almost there. My loss is your gain. I Have over $29,000.00 invested in this project. I have the clean title in safe deposit. When I bought the truck it had been in dry storage for over 50 years. Not a speck of rust. As you can see from the photos this is a full frame off Resto. It is ready for paint with very little prep work left. The frame was boxed to add rigidity for the monster motor I got from a friend out of his wrecked Pro-Street Nova with less the 60 miles on it. Said to have over 650+ HP, he transmission was built to handle the beast and the buyer will need to have a custom drive-line built to retrofit the original 9" Ford Rear End pictured.
The body and frame were stripped to the metal and primed. The frame was painted in a professional spray booth. The leaf spring suspension was stripped and painted. After custom fabricating the frame and firewall for the big block Chevy motor and Rebuild Automatic transmission, he cab was custom fitted and dyna-matted for insulation. The front end was custom fabricated to have a cleaner look with Planishing Hammer to insure very little Bondo. Only a light skim coat was used on the entire truck. The running boards were finished at the ends and the rear fenders are removable with quick twist-lock clips for tool-less R&R. Two looks; Stock with fenders on, r quickly remove and secure in bed for the wide street racing slicks.(Mickey Thompson's or such)
I have a later model seat that was to be shortened and reupholstered in baseball mitt leather. Too much $$$I have stuff not photo'd:
In full disclosure, am not a car builder or car mechanic. This project was being handled by a friend that owns a custom car building shop. I can and will refer you to him if necessary for questions that I am unable to answer. Message me and I will send my phone number to serious inquiries. Thanks and Good Luck!!!
