This 1929 roadster was built in 1982 by John Thawley, nd used as a concept promotional vehicle, romoting Buick's aftermarket performance parts. John is the author of many street rod books, ne being "How to build a Repro Rod", nbsp;showing Junior Johnson on the cover with John. The car is also on the inside cover of Jim Ruggles, Buick Performance Guide", nd on page 67 of Buick Perfomamce Years. This roadster is in excellent condition with only 14,227 miles, nd is part of Buick's legendary performance history. The car is from the estate of a top executive for General Motor Corp. The car was purchased by Mr. Gary Dickerson, fter the four-year public relations campaign was over. He purchased the car in 1986 and it remained in his collection until 2014. Specially-prepared 3.8l bored to 4.1L. Buick V6, sing many of the heavy-duty parts. GM TH350 transmission. Both items were new when placed in the Roadster. TCI chassis, " drop Super Bell front axle, ustang steering installed with 4-bar set up, his eliminates bump-steer. 8" ford Mustang rear with ladder bar setup. Body by Polyform, odywork by "Magoo", aint by Paul Bonanti, in Striping by Sam McFarland, Upholstery by Lance Troupe, nd Ron Francis wiring.
