Description

1930 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan Street Rod

What a sweet Hot Rod.. first class 2-door Tudor!

Corvette 400 Small Block engine. Professionally built in the early 1990s, of the finest new parts, materials and details to show and go. The car still looks like it was done just a few years ago as it has been driven very little- less than 7,000 miles

Exceptional detail and all the right goodies are built into this one. A full steel body resto rod built on the TCI Stage III chassis with a beautiful polished SS independent Mustang II designed front suspension. Stainless coil-overs all the way around. The roof was tastefully chopped 2 ¾ inches, to give it the right look while maintaining a comfortable driving position and good visibility. A vinyl roof was installed over new wooden roof bows and all the right materials were utilized- it is the nicest job I have ever seen. Tinted glass, and the side windows roll down! The car has a vintage air system but I have never run it and since the prior owner showed the car and didn’t drive it much the A/C will need a re-charge servicing. Excellent wiring harness and fuse panel with modern style blade fuses.

A very complete build was done from the ground up and no expense was spared. Even new inner fender panels and new floor panels with a new recessed firewall from Bitchin Products. Extensive chrome, polished aluminum and stainless details everywhere you look- from the valve covers to the oil plan. Remote oil filter with chrome cover and braided stainless lines. Also Stainless braided hoses for the transmission cooler, the air conditioning and heater lines and more. Everything was done right. Even new tinted safety plate glass windows. The engine is a 400 Corvette built up by a professional performance shop. Included were a mild ¾ Cam Dynamics that gives the motor plenty of snap, but keeps it very comfortable. Not a radical cam. Edlebrock Torker roller- rockers, polished aluminum valve covers and trim. The engine and trans are cooled through a custom radiator with stainless recovery tube. Accel Hi-output performance module and distributor. I’ve just replaced the plug wires with Accel Porcelain boots and wires which are the hot set up for hugger headers, (not shown in photos). Polished intake manifold, alternator and A/C compressor motors too. Anodized aluminum hugger headers, stainless braid details, and too much to list it all. Nice details everywhere, from the aluminum oil pan, chrome transmission pan and stainless coil over shocks.. Vintage Air (needs a recharge). The engine runs strong and cool with no issues. Hardly driven by the prior owner. I have just fitted 4 new radials less than 100 miles ago as the original tires had flat spots from the prior owners lack of use. He just loved looking at it!

Smooth shifting TH400 transmission with Genie Shifter. And a 9” Ford Rear-end. When I started driving the car I decided to calm the performance down a bit by replacing the 411 rear end with a new 300 Pumpkin from a pro rear-end builder. I also swapped out the spinners on the wire wheels for smooth caps and I replaced the flying wing radiator cap with a smooth cap, but if you would prefer the other trim I will swap-out those parts. The 411 rear is available and it has less than 6000 miles on it! The car still goes like stink with the 300 and is more comfortable for cruising. Speedometer ratio adapter was installed to accurately display speed after rear-end change.

4-piston, polished front calipiers, GM dual master cylinder brakes with proportioning valve. . I just refreshed the front brakes with new rotors and pads, as I had it apart for inspection. True Spoke Chrome wire wheels are a classy touch

Beautiful interior with VDO Heritage gauges and custom varnished wood dash. All of the gauges and lights work but the twin saddle gas tanks have a switch that allows the gas gauge to monitor one side or the other. That is not working properly and the wiring should be gone over for that. Electric drivers seat and interior trim built from Cadillac Cimarron components. All the gauges work but the clock-reset arm does not so you have to unplug and wait for correct time before energizing. I prefer to disconnect the electric clocks on my cars.Very nice leather, tilt steering wheel, electric drivers seat. Nice luggage rack with wood trim. No wipers. New battery with pigtails for Battery Tender installed last summer.

The dark green paint with gold pin stripes is in exceptional condition. After it’s build, the car was a show rod and driven very little. I have owned the car for about 6 years and have decided it is time for fewer cars in the garage!

The body, paint and interior are exceptionally nice with very few signs of wear. Small paint crack near one of gas tank fillers should be touched up. It still looks like a new paint job because the car was built right, and has been driven less than 7,000 miles. I just changed the spark plugs, and the old plugs looked like new.

The only non-steel on this body is the small fiberglass rear panel behind the rear bumper; (a steel replacement panel was not available at the time.)

The grill is perfect with polished grill stone guard. All the chrome, stainless and polished aluminum is very good.

If you enjoy detailing, you can go to town polishing all the chrome, stainless steel and alloy under the hood you will find it really dazzles! I must admit, I have not kept up with polishing. Documentation includes a comprehensive notebook of specs and receipts from the build along with original parts catalogs. I have set a very reasonable reserve. Car is in Southern NH and you are welcome to come see it.

Worth $40-45k... way, way, way more than buy it now!
