Up for your consideration is my 59 Fairlane 500. I bought this vehicle with the intention of restoring it but due to economic reasons and lack of time, I have decided my plans have to change and therefore have decided to sell This vehicle is in very good condition. This is a running driving car. You can leave it as is and have the rat rod look popular now or restore it.This is a very solid start to your restoration as this was my idea when I acquired it. The body is solid with no major filler in the panels.I made one video of the exterior and did a magnet test on the whole car to show the lack of bondo or filler on this car. The other videos are of the trunk area and the underside. If you're serious about buying this car I suggest you send me your email address and I will send them to you. They will more clearly show what I'm describinghere. The motor is a replacement 390 cu. in. and is running as it should very smoothly. Theautomatic transmission shifts very well and is operation well. This engine and transmission are running well and moves this big car effortlessly. The car runs smooth and gives you that big boat feeling these classics are known for.The car does have an exhaust manifold leak. Not sure if the manifold is cracked or a bolt is loose. Dual exhaust. There is surface rust visible but no rust thru anywhere except acouple tiny holes on the driver side front floorpan shown in oneof the videos. The radio is aftermarket and is not working. I also have the original radio which goes with the car. Again this is a very solid car to start a restoration project with. You can register and drive as is while you work on it. The interior is complete but does need work as the door panels and headliner and rug are not good. I have a replacement headliner that goes with the car.I have all the chrome for the car but it needs to be replated and polished as there is pitting and dullness in the chrome pieces.Bumpers are there and in good condition but also need replating. .Door jambs are solid as are the rockers where there is minimal surface rust visible. The frame is solid withno rust thruanywhere on the frame. Thereare a couple of small holes showing on the radiator support underneath but nothing major. All these issues can be seen in my videos so please email me and I will provide them for you. No power brakes or power steering. There is a leak coming from the oil pan area shown in the video the car runs a bit loud when driving due to the exhaust manifold issue but it does not heat up and the radiator and fan seem to be working fine. The windshield has a small star crack in the upper center shown in my video and two other windows have small cracks also shown in video. Windows roll up and down and I have the door handles for them. Seats are very solid with very little in the way of major tears or damage. Overall this is a great car to work on or drive as is.These classic fairlanes are works of art and not verymany around. Trunk area is also solid with surface rust showing. Original jack and owners manual also included. Before youmake an offer or bid please request my videosto see them and make your decision that much easier if this is the car for you. Please make sure before you bid that you are going thru with the purchase and let's not waste each others time.eBay does not refund seller fees so please be considerate when deciding to bid or not. Contact me with any questions at (914) 837-5548 with any questions you may have. For your information I do have a trailer and would consider delivering the car up to 600 miles for an agreed upon amount should you want to go that way. I will also work with a shipper if that may be the case. $500.00 need to be deposited upon purchase within 24 hours after you purchase.Car must be fully paid for within 7 days from the sale date. I'mlocated in the Greenville/Spartanburg area of SouthCarolinaforyour information.Any calls please make them before 10 p.m. daily. Thanks for viewing thislisting.
