1930 Ford Model A Rat RodBe The New Owner Of This Fresh Build !!
Up for sale is our freshley finished 1930 Model A rat rod. Currently registered and insured in the state of NY as a 1929 2dr sedan. Custom fabricated 2"x4" box frame. Z'd front and stepped rear frame with X brace. steel floors and tunnel graphed into the factory firewall. All brand new 4 link rear suspension with air bags, 9" ford rearend with all new rear drum brakes. Aluminium Centerline Salt Flat rims. The Air ride system is all hand made with copper plumbing and manual ball valves plumbed into a really trick fabricated overhead console. The air dumps exit out the top of roof through little copper stacks. the bagged suspension is only in the rear only but made it expandable for the future. The Air ride storage tank is a original vintage Exxon hand held air tank out of an old service station. It has an awesome original finish. Tank is mounted on hand picked barn wood floor that was created to be removable to service air ride and all upper suspension components. Tank is filled with a Viair 444 pump mounted out of sight. Air is monitored with Viair pressure switch/relay combo. The front suspension is a 40 style front with drum brakes and vega steering box. Interior is mostly bare and left for the new owners touches with the exception of the tractor steering wheel and the red metallic vinyl seats. Factory dash and gauge bezel. The shifter is mounted inside of a vintage ammo box with a real 30 caliber bullet shell that was machined with an internal button mechanism for shifting.100% all steel body with 5"chop. The roof was replaced with a solid ribbed roof out of a newer suv. The final outcome of this roof replacment came out fabulous and looks like it was a factory option in 1930. The body is just about the best your gonna see..no paint and no clear. Just bare metal. Running no glass with the exception of the windsheild. Its new safety glass and has freshly chopped frame and new hinges and latches for function. A 1880 glass mason jar cap replaces the original gas cap and boasts LED's wired into it to glow at night when the lights are on. The motor is basically stock sbc 350 4 bolt main and a 350 trans. I was using this setup to drive for the time being while I was mocking up a twin turbo setup that I wanted to fab. The motor, intake and some of the components were coated with a matte bronze metallic cerakote ceramic coating. The top half of motor consists of an Edelbrock dual plane manifold, 750 vac secondary Demon carb, hiborn scoop finned aluminium valve covers and HEI distributor. Headers are stainless twin turbo headers with V band flange mount with 2 ft long, 3" diameter stainless stacks. Gas tank is an aluminum keg style mounted behind rear with custom piped filler. 100% of the wiring is new with the fuse panel, battery and tank pump mounted out of sight in a hinged comparment behind seats for easy access. This car has the stance of big dollar pro built cars without the hi price tag. All the hard work is complete. Ad your own touches to make it your own. Text me at (914)490-5846 for further info and pics. I do have the right to end auction At anytime due to local listings.
