How it all started: Purchased the car from a gentleman in a very small Arizona town who moved there from Utah. The story from him was that this car had belonged to his father who passed away in 1990 and that’s when he acquired it. It sat in garages over the next 24 years with just a drive around the block now and then. The car still retained a Utah license plate and Title. last registered in 2009. He had already started to modify the car by installing an aftermarket 4V intake and carb. Also he installed a Dual Point Distributor. Fortunately he retained the original 2V intake. bad news is the carb and distributor was gone. At one point in its life the interior was redone in white. Other than those issues the car was very much unmolested and original to include its factory paint. 74. 00 original miles. The Refurbish Process: The car was taken completely apart and every item was either refurbished and or replaced. Any part that was replaced with a reproduction item. the original part if at all salvageable. has been retained and goes with the car to it’s new owner. This will allow for these parts to be restored and used if that is what you want to do. As you see in the photos. the car retained a lot of its factory markings. which was documented in order to re-produce if you would like. The bottom of the car was only cleaned. the undercarriage retains it’s factory red oxide primer and the factory paint runs. The floors are original and solid as you can see. The lower rear quarter panels and trunk drops were replaced to fix a bad repair job in the past. Also replaced was the rear light panel for the same reason. The rear valance and rear deck lid are replaced. the original ones are retained and go with the car. All other body panels are the original parts. Car was painted in PPG base coat. clear coat system.
