Restoration Photos SELLER REMARKS Are 1934 Fords the ultimate '30s street rod? This1934 Ford Tudor sedan certainly puts on a convincing demonstration with a wicked stance. chopped roof. and a unique powerplant. And while it was built in the '90s and shows almost 40. 00 trouble-free cruising miles. it's still extremely clean and ready to hit the road at a moment's notice. You can spot a '34 Ford a quarter-mile away simply because every single line. curve. and louver is exactly right. The smart builders know not to mess too much with a good thing. so this handsome tudor sedan (that's 2-door in Ford-speak) got a slight top chop that accentuates the rake. but not much else. Of course. the sheetmetal was prepped with the craftsmanship that only comes in top hot rod shops. so gaps are even. the finish is distortion-free. and despite miles of use. it still looks very good. The Black Cherry paint dances in the lights. sometimes black. sometimes burgundy and always gorgeous. Most of the original trim details remain. which is awesome: the deeply Vee'd grille. the twin horns. the greyhound hood ornament. the cowl lights. the taillights. and what are arguably the most attractive door handles ever fitted to an automobile. There was a spare tire hanging on the back. but that's been deleted. so the car has a very complete. compact look. The interior is drop-dead gorgeous. nicely finished but not over-wrought like so many recent rods. Simple gray tweed with vinyl trim covers the bucket seats and the door panels are dressed with the same stuff and a tasteful wooden armrest. The suicide-style doors make climbing in graceful and easy. and it's filled with comfort features like power windows. power seats. a tilt column. and cold A/C. A beautifully finished wood insert holds retro-looking gauges from Classic Instruments and there's a trick overhead console with switches for everything from the headlights to the cooling fan to the fuel pump. Very cool. The back seat is actually twin buckets as well. so this is strictly a 4-seater. but there's plenty of room for everyone on a road trip. The stereo is also overhead and consists of an AM/FM/cassette head unit which powers speakers in the kick panels. Those of you expecting a small block Chevy are going to be disappointed because this cool Ford uses something similar: 4. 3 supercharged liters of GM V6! It really shouldn't be a surprise; after all. these engines are incredibly durable. very torquey. and with a fair number of performance parts available for them (they're essentially 3/4 of a 350 anyway). it's a wonderful alternative to the same-old. same-old. The big polished blower and big 4-barrel carburetor force-feed the stout six and make it act like a far bigger engine without eliminating all the six-cylinder advantages. It's also nicely detailed with lots of brightly polished and chromed details and three header pipes will certainly make a few folks do a double-take when they look under the hood. It's tied to a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission and a Ford 9-inch rear end. so it's a great highway cruiser and the chassis was obviously set up for the road. With Mustang II A-arms and rack-and pinion steering. it tracks well and the Flowmaster exhaust sounds aggressive without getting annoying. Classic Centerline aluminum wheels and 195/60/15 front and 275/60/15 rear BFG radials give it the prefect hot rod stance. A no-expenses-spared build when it was first finished. this remains a very high-quality rod with a very interesting hardware list and an awesome look.
