Description

Torino 1969 GT Fastback READ THIS FIRST: To start with I am a nice guy. but have been abused too many times by ebay members and ebay’s lack of substantial penalties for abusers. It costs money and takes lots of time to list things. When I answer questions for buyers I go around the car with a tape measure. I go above and beyond my responsibility as a seller. I don’t flip cars to make $. I am a member of the Wisconsin Deputy Sheriffs Assoc. I have been selling on ebay for family members. friends and myself since ebay first started never as a dealer (Sales wereVirtually all Collector Vehicles). I have had much experience with ebay and its derelict bidders. My wife has been in the legal profession for 27 years. Seeing a great need 8 years back she started specifically honing her skills on ebay non paying bidders as they are rampant. Therefore. I recommend you to not bid on this car if you do not know for a fact you can and will follow through with these very simple requirements. 1) $300 DUE IMMEDIATLEY AT AUCTIONS END via Pay Pal or cash in hand. Not when you get back from vacation. 2) Buyer contact must be made with me. the seller. within 24 hours to discuss pick up and final payment. 3) The remainder NOT THROUGH PAY PAL due within 7 days of auctions end Period. I accept safe and secure bank to bank wire transfer or Cash in hand. The car can be left here for up to 3 weeks but the new owner may want to insure it as I cannot be responsible for it once sold. ________________________________________________________________________ To start with. I have all the documentation to back up the claim 1 of 2 built 46 years ago. Complete Marti Report – Original Window Sticker – Scheduling Dates Etc. - Owner’s Manual & Ford Safer Ride Booklet. The car was produced six days ahead of schedule on 8/16/68 to go to its destination of Grundtisch Motors in Upper Sandusky. Ohio. I am selling this for a friend so though I don’t know everything about it I will answer the questions to the best of my ability. Ebay allows me 24 pics so if I am not showing something let me know I will do my best to get it up there. I will take calls between 8 a. m. and 8 p. m. central time. Please realize that sometimes I will be at work so may only be able to answer questions about the car. These Torinos were born winners. The 69 Torino held the Nascar Championship. ARCA Championship. USAC Championship and more than 22 other major trophies. Interior I would rate the interior an 8 out of 10. It has 1 approx 3” thread separation NOT a tear in the driver seat. The headliner is NOT ripped but does have some thread separation. The Dash Pad has No cracks or rips. The remaining seats etc. are nicer then I would expect. Carpet worn thin mainly on drivers side. Body Pictures really tell that. I can tell you it has had one very amateur paint job more than 25 years ago. How much longer I don’t know. The car has been parked for 25 years. I guess that makes it a barn find? Driver side rocker panel has a small hole at each end. Rear Quarters have been patched when painted more than 25 years ago by an ameteur. The car needs to be repainted properly with only the best of everything since it is beyond rare. Front floors are starting to rust and could use repairing. Driver side maybe could use a pan ? and the other side I think just a very small patch. Engine 351W High Output runs and drives and is very nice. It just had a complete Tune Up put on it. Including wires. plugs. points. condenser. cap. rotor and entire new distributor. I have driven it up to 80 MPH and it was flawlessly smooth. Tires Tread like brand new but dry cracks. Would not recommend a multi state trip with out another set. Being 1 of only 2 built I realize it belongs with a collector or museum. This car has been in storage for 20 years. (No Mouse Smell) Equipped with: HiPo 351 Windsor 300 HP 10. 70 Compression (Factory) New Distributor Holley Equipped (original Carburetor comes with it. ) Shelby Racing Intake Manifold Mickey Thompson Valve Covers/ Included OEM set acid dipped and coated to never rust Ram Air Induction through functional Hood Scoop (Factory) All this is ran through the Fords Heavy Duty FMX Transmission The FMX was used behind their most powerful mills. It has the ability to handle 500 to 520 HP. If that doesn’t make it Bullet Proof nothing does. It was only made between 66 and 81. From here the power goes back to the Iconic Ford Factory 9” rear end with a 3. 00:1 Disc Brakes (Factory) are what stops this unit. (pads are new). Only 129 made with Disc! Power Steering making it a more pleasurable driving car. Power Front Disc Brakes also give you a secure feeling if you decide to use the 300 HP. Dual Rear Speakers (only 29 came with these) Adjustable front head restraints. Candy Apple Red looks great with the rare dark red interior! By the way the dark red interior is one of the things that make this car rare only 221 of them had it. GT Identification (Factory) Hood Scoop with turn signal indicators. Original Argent Steel GT Rims Trim Rings and Center Caps also Spare is Rally Wheel Back in February I had the original radiator recored. The exhaust is there front to back. Mufflers are New Thrush Welded Turbos. They sound great! Tail Pipes are there but are getting thin. In Dash Tachometer (works when it wants to) All other gauges work as they should they are listed below: Water Temperature Gauge Voltmeter Oil Pressure Vacuum Lightweight composited or plastic front bumper these came in black with some specially equipped High Performance Torinos as you will see in the factory advertisement in the pics. Inside the rare dark red interior sit a set of bucket seats in near perfect condition with a Console and floor shifter Super Rare! (Only 96 had consoles) FR70x14 Tires Factory Bumper Jack is also there and in very nice shape. I also have the original Owner’s Manual and the Ford safer ride booklet. There are two rust spots underneath the front floors that will need to be repaired or replaced. They are right where your feet go in front of each front seat. Not very big but never the less are there. You will find a light bulb here or there that does not work. Certainly I can buy a new one but choose not to. I will only buy original lights as being 1 of 2 built this car deserves and calls for only the best and original parts whenever possible. If the next owner wants to install non-original parts he can do it when it belongs to him. I’m a purist and I know the car is worth the most with original parts. Bidders: If you need to ask permission from your wife. husband. boyfriend. girlfriend. mechanic. banker. mom. dad. lover. guru. pastor. preacher. teacher. astrologist or any other super natural power or unseen force. please do this BEFORE you bid on this car. Thanks. This vehicle is being sold as is where is. With no warranty expressed written or implied. Upon placing your bid you agreeing that the car is being sold in Racine County. Wisconsin. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements.
