This was a 4 year frame off restoration, Which is 99% original. I finished the restoration in 2000 . We took the truck to the chevy GMC nationals that year and took best of show. Anytime We took this truck to a show it has won a prize. I have the original GM key that was given with the truck when purchased in 55 it fits the door, ignition and glove box. The engine is the original 288 Pontiac which came in the truck in 55. All newly rebuilt as well with an NOS carb. It is a three speed on the column. Transmission and rear end are rebuilt as well. Rare windshield washer accessory as well as fire extinguisher. It has all original glass with a NOS windshield. All new rubber everywhere. I rebuilt this truck using the original factory build manual and followed it page for page. All brake parts are new or rebuilt and new stainless brake lines were added. All the gauges work. Heater and defroster rebuilt and work. Any bolts and hardware that were broken or missing were either replaced with one from donor trucks or the best replacement avail. The bed fiberglass work was done by one of the top shops in new-England [side alley auto] look them up on line to see some of their work. The truck is painted to factory colors and paint scheme. This truck was purchased from an estate sale in Texas where it spent it's Whole life. It was nearly rust free when I got it. The tabs that hold the rubber mat inside to the floor where still there, as well as the original muffler clamp. I have owned this truck for 18 years. The restoration was done 16 years ago so needless to say there are a few minor scuffs and one small ding. However it doesn't detract from the truck at all. This truck is for sale locally as such the auction could end anytime. I welcome serious buyer to come see it or have an inspection co. come. Thanks for looking and good luck.
