Offered for sale, rom KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, s this exceptionally nice Jaguar E-type Roadster. This vehicle was recently acquired from an East Coast family that purchased this car in 1968. Rarely is a Jaguar available that has benefited from the care of nearly a single owner for all of it's life.
This car received an expensive, round-up, ut and bolt, ull mechanical and cosmetic restoration in 1997 with an accrued mileage of approximately 90,000 original miles. The car was completely stripped down. Quality body and paintwork was followed by newly replated original chromework, ew windshield, ew interior trim and cloth top, iring harness, estored top frame, oot kit, tc. The mechanicals were equally treated the same and the car's original engine, arburetors, earbox, nd IRS unit were professionally rebuilt with all new parts. The braking and suspension components were completely rebuilt or replaced. The car received 5 new Dayton stainless/chrome wire wheels fitted with quality Michelin XVS 185x15 steel belted radial tires and new knockoffs. All of the original hardware and suspension parts were correctly cadmium-plated.
The car's rubber items were completely renewed including bushings, oots, ooling hoses, rommets, eals, eatherstripping, xtrusions, tc. All of the car's components were appropriately finished to Jaguar Concours guidelines. No expense was spared at the time to return this car to factory new condition.This car was very carefully stored over the next 18 years in a controlled environment Car Jacket. It was exercised regularly and has accrued under 2,000 miles since that time.It now stands today in a lovely mellowed state, ut still shows exceedingly well and correct. It represents a very nice total restoration that has stood the test of time, nd is ready to be enjoyed by it's next enthusistic owner.It is sold with a full original tool kit and pouch, ack and bag, wner's manual, nockoff hammer, nd 5th chrome spare wheel. Sensibly priced when one considers the cost of a donor car and the current price of a comparable restoration.
