Introduced in 1961, he E-Type roadster proved to be an immediate success. Designed under the guidance of Sir William Lyons, he car was a longer and lower version of Jaguar's D-Type. Manufactured between 1961 and 1974, ts combination of good looks, igh performance, nd competitive pricing established the marquee as an icon of 1960s motoring. On its release Enzo Ferrari called it "The most beautiful car ever made".
Verified by original documentation, E1S25448 was sold new by Alpine Motors to a Mr. Parsons of Jacksonville, lorida on February 26, 975. It eventually made its way up the East Coast to New Hampshire and eventually Massachusetts, here it received quite a bit of restorative work since the late 1990's to its current presentation. Servicing records from 1997-2014 accompany. Finished in Signal Red paint over complimenting Black leather upholstery, his V12 Series III Roadster is among the very late examples of this famous British marquee produced. The overall appearance of the car presents well as a nice maintained driver, howing just 56,000 recorded miles. The cabin is equipped with COLD factory air conditioning, ORKING British Leyland radio and 4-speed manual transmission. Chrome wire wheels completed the overall appearance, ith matching spare and jack equipment still residing in the trunk. Additionally, he Roadster is complete with ALL of its original owner's manuals, ooks and pamphlets in vinyl pouch, s well as registration slips from the first 3 owners (4-owner car).
