I don't know what to do with this car. Here's a breakdown of what I've paid for / put into it.
8/11/2015 Purchase Price: $2398.338/20/2015 Mechanic Looked at car $25.009/07/2015 New Fuel Pump $20.709/11/2015 New Fuel Filter and Power Steering Fluid $11.4212/02/2015 New Battery $117.07
Here's a list of things that have been done recently.
9/7/15 Installed a brand new fuel pump and she runs!9/11/15 Replaced fuel filter topped off power steering. (She steers nicely now.)9/21/15 Called Auto Club and gave them the VIN, hey told me the car is Smog EXEMPT in the CA DMV system, ut I don't know for sure if this is true.10/30/15 Got new registration documents from DMV - Smog Check is required from a STAR Station. But it doesn't need to be smogged if sold as Non Operational.
Here's what I know about the car.
I've been told this car has a newly rebuilt transmission and starter, ith what looks like a Chevy Edlebrock 350 V8. It still needs a lot of work but needs very little to make it a daily drivable car (most of it is interior cosmetic).
The body is in amazing condition and has not been in an accident but there are some minor signs of rust.
She had the carburetor upgraded to be a hot-rod hood (original hood though) which gives this car tons of personality.
With this car, ou're going to get a shit ton of parts and odds and ends. Here is a list of the things that will be coming with the car, rom what I can piece together from invoices (one of them alone is for over $800 in parts) packing slips and good old fashioned understanding:
New (Used but pristine) Rear View MirrorNew (Used but pristine) Rear Door Open Rods and Clips left and Right SideNew (Used but pristine) Left Front Under Dash TrimNew Left Gas TankNew Left Sender UnitNew (and Used) Tank FittingsUsed Alpine CD PlayerNew Seat Belts (All Five)New Shifter Knob (Wood)Turn Indicator Mechanisms (Plastic Bag full of wires and levers)Left/Right turn indicator LeverSome on/off switch and wiringSome black thing (particle board?)Another black thing (plastic)Mr. Gasket Easy Flow Air Cleaner (Installed)Some electrical doohickey that looks like it might control the door locksChrome PolishPlastic BitsAir Cleaner Adapter and Riser Kit (Installed)WD-40New RainX Windshield WipersGunk Glass CleanerScott Pro Towels (Unopened)Turtle Headlight Lens Restorer399 Piece electrical kit with all sorts of cool shit like zip tiesJaguar XJ12 Automotive Repair ManualA grody Black thingA plastic bag of screwsSeatbelt coversGas Pedal thingassorted pieces of metalChrome Stereo Face thingJack Kit
The extras alone are worth over $1,000.
This is a fixer car, ut has amazing potential especially with all the work already gone into it. It is currently not up to date on its registration but the title is in my possession, nd the car was transferred to me registered Non-Operational without a smog check and zero problems at DMV. Having it towed will require a flat bed.
I'm I'd be happy selling this veritable treasure trove for an insanely low price of $1,200.
