1970 Buick Skylark Custom Convertible GSX Tribute
Here for sale I am offering a 1970 GSX Convertible clone. While there was neverofficiallya GSX made into a convertible we took itintoour own hands to custom make one.
Thedrive-linestarts with a SF coded 455. Block was sonic checked, align bored, bored .030 over to a 462. Lifter gallery was de-burred, internal oil modifications, Steel crank polished & balanced, 10:1 Power Hyper-EutecticAluminiumpistons, Plasma Moly rings, High pressure oil pump, Cleavite Racing main and rod bearings, Heads are ironstage1heads (casting# 1371368). T/A Steel Stage1 valves. Heads shaved to 67cc, T/A springs and retainers, Rollmaster double roller hardened steel timing gear, T/A 290-08-H cam with T/A fully grooved racing cam bearings. Almost too much to list, have abinderfull of paperwork for this car.(Receiptsand engine work done)
MSD ignition is all updated and new as of last month. Edelbrock alumnium 455 performer series intake manifold with a Speed Junkie custom built 850cfm race carburetor. Exhaust is a nice hooker header system.Transmissionis a M-21 Muncie 4 speed with auto gear overdrive.
The rear end in this car is a 1970 GM 12 bolt housing with 4.11:1 gearing.30 splinehardenedSomers axlesMoroso Brutestrengthposi tractiondifferentialwithheavy duty U-Joints
Now onto the rest of the car. The car has a quick ratio power steering box, Ram air GS hood, Air cleaner, 4 cored HDradiator.Heavy duty front and rear sway bars with gas shocks and heavy duty springs. Boxed lower control arms & rear control arm frame braces. Power disc brakes, 15x7 Chrome ralleys on G60 tires, Ralley gauges package. Has front and rear GSX spoilers, hood tach and factory GSX fat grip steering wheel. The frame was media blasted and protective coated, new fuel lines, brakes lines, frontsuspensionwas rebuilt, body bushings replaced.
The car is in fresh paint. The car is not a 10 point show car but is a very nice car and when finished will hold its own in a show. We have brand newdoorpanels front and rear, new seat covers for the buckets, 4 speed console and shortyconsulate are in good shape and are included in the sale. Car just needs interior finished up, top put on, and door handles and shes good to go. Runs very strong and is a very fast car.
