1939 SS Saloon 2.5 Liter

1939 SS Saloon 2.5 Liter. Vin # L1691L. Originally a British Embassy car in Thailand during WWII. Was brought to the US by a USAF major who put it in storage, with the intention of restoring it. He sold it in the 70's and again it went into storage until it was bought at auction by the previous owner on which it went to a restoration shop. They change the oil, hooked to a battery and started. The motor ran at that time. It is not in running condition now. The body has been restored and the main shell painted like 5 years ago. It was put together with a minimum of hardware. The chassis appears to have been restored and put back together. A very good start to a full restoration on a rare car.The car has no rust...And all steel body.
