Just in is this wonderful original 1st year 240Z. This was the 1st year of production, now one of the most significant Japanese Sports cars ever made. This was a true icon from day one having looks, power & economy at the same time which came out conveniently during the final days of the big horse power Muscle Car demise. It was sold new at Bill Whiten Rambler of Ensley, Alabama. It was delivered new on June 25, 1970 to William Duke of Homewood, Alabama. It retains itsOriginal owner registration and coupon book along with 3 earlyService records including its 600 mile inspection. It is completely rust free & its floors are perfect. It has none of the areas of rust usually associated to this 1st year as it s always been garaged & taken care of. This example from 1970 came from the factory in all of its New Sight Orange (# 918) glory. This was a popular color when new & perhaps the most desirable color option to collectors today. Its Black vinyl interior is completely original including all of its quilted areas around its front console & around its strut tower areas are as it left the factory. This particular Z still retains its original matching # inline 6 cylinder 151 HP motor mated to a smooth 5 Speed transmission (upgraded from a 4 speed). It is a rust free example fresh from a major 240Z collection. It has subtle upgrades which include small smooth silver bumpers w/out those ugly bumperettes, larger 16″ Panasport wheels w/a set 225/50/16 high performance tires. It also sports a high performance radiator & Header w/larger throaty exhaust system & a very tasty front spoiler added. It also seems to have been very well sorted & has super tight suspension w/many new rubber parts. It has had 1 bare metal repaint at some time holding up nicely. What makes this Z the find of a lifetime is it equipped with Dealer installed Ice Cold Factory Air Conditioning. What a package ! This, the 1st year of USA sales lead to a run of just over 16,000 units hitting the roads of America. These early cars have so many 1 year only trim items & are the most desirable 240Z’s amongst the Z car fans. Our luv affair with this cool jewel has grown over time & the 240Z is now one of the best investments as these are very hard to find in good rust free condition. This Orange masterpiece shows 120K miles but always treated responably & she looks like she has been well taken care of. It is the best example we have ever seen & is completely rust free in all the places known to be a problem & its floors are perfect ! It also retains its original jack & tool kit behind the passenger seat. She runs fantastic & performs flawlessly. It may be the best example to come to the market in years. If you’d always wanted one…this is the one. Don’t miss it…
