My neighbor is a hunter and he goes hunting in the mountains on it. This truck is really great restoration project. With some love and money it can be beautiful again. Engine . transmission. transfer case doesn't have any issues. It needs some basic mechanical repairs like leaking steering box. shock absorbents. brakes etc. In 2011 engine was upgraded to a more powerful 1996 Land Rover new 2. 5l 300TDI . It runs great. no smoke even at cold start. It starts in a spill of the second. I told my neighbor not to wash it. so you guys can actually see exact condition of the frame. GREAT FRAME! Why buy in USA or in Canada overpriced Defenders which you can import on your own. For USA importation. It's very simple process. as long as it's at least 25 years old. For Canada. as long as it's at leasts 15 years old (5% GST . 6. 1% DUTY) AND OUT OF PROVINCE INSPECTION. No modifications required. I can arrange shipping it in 20' container. Or if your buddies want some different cars from Europe I can consolidate this Defender into 40' container with other car or truck. I can ship 3 2door Defenders in one 40' container.
