1988 NAS Range Rover
Nice example of a well used but not abused California Rover.
Only the second year of US import so it has all the early features that collectors find desirable. exposed door hinges, low fuel door, no ABS or traction control,
no sway bars, no air bags. Just pure genuine Rover.
I purchased this truck approximately a year and a half ago and performed a light mechanical recommisioning.
This consisted primarily of fluid changes, a fresh fuel pump, new shocks all around, fresh cats and O2 sensors, new Michelin tires and a minor
transmission repair. Since thenmy wife and Ihave put about 6000 miles on this truck.
The truck runs drives and stops well. It is clearly in need of some cosmetic work particularly on the interior. It has had paint work in the past but no indication of
major collision damage or rust.
Items that will need attention include a broken windshield, non functioning cabin fan (therefore non functioning AC), sunroof inoperative, driver's power seat not working.
I was focused on getting the truck to run reliably now I will leave it to you to finish the rest.
This Rover would be ideal for someone who wants a project they can drive while sorting out the cosmetic details and enjoying the Land Rover experience.
