Land Rover Range Rover with only 78. 50 LOW Miles Absolute Auction with NO RESERVE PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AD BEFORE BIDDING. I WANT TO MAKE SURE THE POTENTIAL BUYER GETS AN ACCURATE REPRESENTATION OF THE TRUCK BEFORE BIDDING!! I am selling my 2003 Range Rover HSE. with just under 79. 00 miles and a few tasteful modifications. because I recently moved to New York and unfortunately do not have the space for three vehicles. so this one is getting sold. Clean & Clear Title in Hand. just waiting for the new owner. I am a longtime Import Automotive Enthusiast and am FANATICAL about my cars; so therefore. while this listing may be lengthy. I want you to get the complete sense of exactly the condition the truck is in and how obsessive I am over every aspect of the vehicle. Options To start with. it is finished in. what I consider. one of the BEST color combinations: Java Black Exterior Sand Leather Interior As far as options go. I’d be writing for days if I tried to list everything. so I’ll try and just hit the highlights; however. as you would expect from a vehicle with an original MSRP of over $75k. it’s got pretty much everything. (But just to hit some of the highlights): Power Everything (Seats. Windows. Mirrors. Steering Wheel. etc. ) GPS Navigation updated with the latest 2014 Maps Harmon Kardon Logic 7 Sound System with Six-Disc Changer Heated Front and Rear Seats & Heated Steering Wheel Bi-Xenon Headlights with Headlight Washers & Wipers Power Sunroof Auto-Dimming Power Folding Mirrors Front and Rear Park Distance Control Alarm System Full-Onboard Computer World-Renowned 4WD System Includes all Original Books & Manuals. Navigation Discs. and Key/Remote I’ll also throw in complete Land Rover RAVE Workshop Manual Modifications Some of the tasteful modifications I’ve made include: Choice between two sets of Wheels & Tires (both look terrific) 22” 2014 Range Rover Wheels & BRAND NEW Tires (less than 100mi on ‘em) 24” Black Diablo Tirado Wheels and Tires(seen in one of the photos) Or. you can get both sets of wheels and tires for an additional $1000 Running Boards Supercharged Front Grille Supercharged Side Vents Body Colored Mirror Covers Troublesome EAS (Air Suspension) Dealer Recoded. I want to stress that this conversion can only truly correctly be done in conjunction with recoding the car and most rovers you see haven't had this done correctly By doing this. there are no warning lights. errors. codes. or malfunction indicators of any kind. The ride is retained Eliminates the worry of dropping or sagging air shocks Now. finally. the important part. the maintenance & condition. Maintenance To begin with. if you’re seriously considering buying one of these luxury SUVs. you should look up the common issues and problems beforehand. Then. you will see that this one has had practically all of them addressed. This is the Range Rover equipped with the BMW 4. 4 liter M62TU Engine (the exact same motor in the BMW X5 & 7-Series). As such. extensive maintenance done includes: All New Timing Chains (all 3). Timing Chain Tensioners. & Timing Chain Guides (this is a BIG one and a normal cause of engine failure in these cars) Variable Valve Timing (VANOS) Service All New VANOS Seals (rebuilt using Beisan Systems as seen here) New VANOS Solenoids New VANOS Housings All New Engine Seals & Gaskets Oil Pan Gaskets & O-Rings Timing Cover Gaskets Intake & Exhaust Manifold Gaskets Valve Cover Gaskets Complete Cooling System Service Valley Pan and Coolant Transfer Pipes & O-Rings Replaced (Look this one up – a huge expense already done!!!) Rear Coolant Manifold Gaskets Water Pump Gasket Alternator Gasket (Alternator is water-cooled and this gasket is a common major source of coolant leaks) Coolant Flush New Spark Plugs New Serpentine Belt Fresh Oil & Filter Change Relatively New Brakes & Rotors The list goes on & on. Everything ever needed has been done before necessary and then some! Condition I was meticulous about every detail on this car. Being a relatively young guy with no kids. I can say that this was my pride and joy – I babied this car. and the overall condition shows. The inside is spotless. seats and carpet look immaculate. nbsp;no sagging headliner (rare for a Rover). everything functions as it should. & stereo sounds amazing! The exterior is virtually as good as the interior – not a single dent or ding & the paint is glossy and clean. And the ride. oh my God. the ride; it’s like floating on clouds. Coupled with the perfectly shifting transmission & flawless 4WD. it just doesn’t get any better. Now. for the Dilemma: As I mentioned earlier. I recently moved to New York and was planning on selling 2 cars before moving; hence. why I had already taken pictures of the car. About 2 weeks before moving. the Rover started having “cranking” issues. Initially. it just seemed like it was taking a little longer than normal to crank or sometimes “stumbling” a little bit. Even though it was not giving any warnings or storing any error codes. I hooked it up to the computer and ran diagnostics on it with the Land Rover Factory T4 Testbook. This too didn’t show anything wrong. In the meantime. I was completely enthralled in my impending move and. quite simply. did not have the time to fully investigate and diagnose the problem. However. unfortunately. the problem worsened to its current state. Currently. the Rover may or may not start – there is absolutely no pattern. Additionally. sometimes when it does manage to start. it immediately goes dead; however. once in a while it will start up. Also. nbsp;the engine is very strong and will turn over no matter what. regardless of whether it actually starts or not. Being that I was moving in the following days by that point. I left it parked in a garage building my parents own. which is where it is still currently parked. Since they reside back and forth between Florida and I am now in New York. it is impossible for me to even get it somewhere that it could be diagnosed. Therefore. nbsp;I am selling it as-is; my loss is most definitely going to be someone else’s gain! The Potential Problem: In the time that I was able to investigate the issue. & after looking into things as much as my time would allow. nbsp;I feel fairly confident the problem is a faulty fuel pump. Again. most of the engine has been recently serviced and the engine timing system was re-examined for assurance. The timing chains. guides. etc. & VANOS are still set correctly; not to mention. the engine will sometimes randomly start. Finally. I was also able to do a fuel pressure test and while starting the vehicle. the fuel pressure only gets to ˜2. 5 bars (Land Rover calls for 3. 75 bars) and while attempting to start. once the pressure tops out it begins to drop. All of which further lead me to believe the problem is the fuel pump. Replacing the fuel pump is a fairly simple job (needing to basically lift the carpet up under the back seat for access – and I’ll provide you with factory repair instructions if needed). and one that can be completed by ordering a replacement fuel pump online for ˜$300. However. not being able to investigate fully. I cannot guarantee the potential buyer of the problem. and I don’t want a potential buyer coming back later and saying “I assured them it was the pump. ” This is not the case. I simply believe it’s the fuel pump. but it’s up to you to make the final diagnosis. For all intents and purposes you should assume you are bidding on a non-running vehicle that may require some unknown mechanical repair. That is why it is being sold with NO RESERVE to the highest bidder. I really have tried to be as honest and forthright as possible about this car. I am not exaggerating when I say it is absolutely gorgeous and in near-pristine condition; and. I truly believe all it needs is a fuel pump. However. bid knowing that the problem is uncertain and you should plan on having to tow it or have it shipped home. The vehicle is located in Cullman. Alabama (about and hour from both Huntsville and Birmingham). While I live in New York. I can arrange for someone to let you look at the vehicle prior to bidding without a problem.
