1964 Sunbeam Tiger MK1

This is a nice early model Sunbeam Tiger. Has been with the same owner since the early 1970's! A great deal of work has been done in recent years to make it a reliable and fast Tiger. Serial Number B9473197. 857. LRXFEThis Tiger does not have the original 260. the original engine failed in the early 1970's and was replaced with a 302. high nickle block. In the past five years the engine has been rebuilt with a new 4 Barrel Edelbrock. which causes the car to run smoothly and reliably. ncluding a new custom exhaust system. The torque boxes and front cross memeber have been replaced by Ferrerai Restorers Motion Products in Neenah WI. nbsp; In addition to the engine work. the interior was redone 2 years ago. including new carpet. seat foam. covers and door panels. The floors were coated with Lizard Skin to help keep some of the heat out of the interior. In addition to the above work. the Tiger has a new clutch master and slave cylinder. fuel pump. and other critical componenets that make this a reliable Tiger that can be used each day!The car is not perfect. it appears there is some light flller in some areas. but it is stable and was done in the 1970's and the car has remained in dry storage and has not seen rain since the early 1970's. The convertible top needs to be replaced but is usable and the frame is in good condition. The horn does not currently work. The brake booster was removed many years ago. we have the booster for rebuild if you wish but the pedal feel is great! The original two barrel manifold and carb have been kept.
