1997 Lexus SC400 with ~139. 00 miles. Black/Tan with the Gold Package. 2nd Owner and being sold by the Owner. Celebrity car. *** I do have the original window sticker. --This is my personal vehicle and I am the 2nd owner who purchased it from Mr. Roy Rogers Jr. . the son of the most famous western movie star of the 50-s--The car was purchased new in California by Mr. Rogers who later relocated to new Branson. MO. The vehicle changed the possession in Oct 2007 and I have owned it ever since. -Maintained by the local KC Toyota and Lexus dealership: all service records are on hand. The timing belt and water pump were replaced at 105. 00 miles. New alternator and the battery. - Over the 8 years I have owned the car there were only 2 mechanical problems: the alternator was replaced about two years ago and so was the front passenger-side caliper. Otherwise. the vehicle performed flawlessly and continues to be a robust. worry-free car. All fluids were flushed soon after I purchased the car and the oil was changed (only Mobil 1) annually. - There is a dent on the passenger side which affects the door and the adjacent quarter panel. It was the result of a "domestic violence' when my spouse misjudged the turn radius and rode the side of the car against our garage post. The local Lexus produced a $2. 00 estimate and apologized for it being so high due to their requirements to comply with the highest safety standards which would necessitate welding the steel plates inside the door. At the same time It was said the realistic amount needed to rectify the issue would be about $1000. - Everything works. The car is ALL original. no modifications. 12-disc CD changer and Nakamichi audio system. The interior is super-clean with hardly any signs of wear. Non-smokers. The only visible flaw is the skinny plastic frame of one of the vents is cracked. I would rate the interior as 9. 5 out of 10. - Exterior: if you look past the dent described above. there are some small dimples and dents in a few places. Some paint chips and surface scuffs (the latter could be buffed off) on the front bumper and the front of the vehicle - it is after all a 17-old car. The car has never been in accident. big or small. The paint is all original and still quite nice. Past the dent. I would rate the exterior condition as 8. 5 out of 10. - Mounted are the 17" original Lexus chrome wheels (2 of them have the central caps missing) and there are no issues with them whatsoever. The car comes with the 2nd set of 16" wheels dedicated for winter: they are like new sport wheels with the Bridgestone Blizzak tires on them which still have 3/4 of the tread remaining. Overall - it is a strong performer and very nice. super-reliable car: has enjoyed having it but there is no place in the garage due to the purchase of a new vehicle.
