1967 Lincoln ConvertibleThe pictures speak for themselves. but there is a detailed description below all the pics. The rarest of the rare! This is the last year for the suicide door convertible Lincolns. and the year they made the fewest at only about 2200. This particular car is a true survivor. It was last registered and driven in 1977! (currently registered insured and titled in my father's name with a clear Florida title stating 83k actual miles) From what I'm told the original owner passed away and the car was sent to a classic car broker. The owner of the brokerage company went to prison for tax evasion and all of the vehicles were caught up in the red tape of that situation for several years. Eventually another exotic car brokerage company in Miami was able to purchase all of the vehicles. They contacted us (one of only a handful of true Lincoln experts in the world) to assess it's value and get it back on the road for them. I have personally owned dozens of these cars and have be restoring them for years. This is hands down the most original. well kept Lincoln I've ever come across . I would drive this car to California today without hesitation!This car has all the original switches and relays. It has never been messed with as most have over the years of people trying to fix them. It has all the original trim inside the trunk. It even had the jack and original spare which we replaced with a new one matching the other four brand new tires. The chrome is all original and in immaculate condition. Every piece of chrome and stainless trim is there without any of the usual dents and dings that most have. The underside of this car looks like the day it came out of the factory. There is virtually no rust anywhere. Anyone who knows these cars knows the typical issues they tend to have and would immediately recognize how special this car is. To the best of my knowledge. EVERYTHING WORKS! This car starts. runs. drives. and stops perfectly! It is such a joy to drive! All of the interior lights work as they should. The rear windows drop when you open the doors. All exterior lights and blinkers work as they should. The radio works. All of the windows work smoothly every time. The top works via the remote. the dash switch. or the trunk key switch. every time. The AC WORKS AND IS ICE COLD! Here are some of the things we did to get it back on the road after sitting so long. Brand new brakes including new calipers and lines. New fuel pump. fuel filter. and fuel lines. Professionally rebuilt carb. New belts. New voltage regulator. Rebuilt window switches. Cleaned or rebuilt all the switches and relays for the top. Four brand new tires. Flushed and changed all the fluids. Converted AC to 134 and it's working perfectly. I'm sure there are dozens of things I'm forgetting right now. This car gets so much attention it's ridiculous. You can't go anywhere without several people coming up to you and talking about it. People will hang out their window on the highway to take pictures. wave. honk. and give thumbs up. Take it to your local car show and you are pretty much guaranteed to be the only convertible suicide door Lincoln there. I took mine to the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona where there were over 6000 classic cars and I had the only one there. You see Camaros and Mustangs all the time. When is the last time you saw one of these beauties. Besides on Entourage. These cars are a great place to invest your money as they have been consistently increasing in value year after year. If you decide to sell it in a few years you will make more than any IRA or mutual fund. and you will get more enjoyment than you can imagine driving it in the mean time. I cannot express enough how great it feels to cruise in this car with the top down. It's so smooth and quiet. all you hear is the wind. and the honks and shouts. Bottom line. This is definitely one of the nicest original Lincolns out there. There are estimated to be less than 100 67's on the road today. and I doubt any of them are this nice. If you look at some of my past ads you will see some nice convertible Lincolns. They were all "restored" to that condition. This car hasn't been restored. it has simply been well kept. It has been preserved in indoor storage all of it's life. Most of the Lincoln's I have sold on ebay have been in the $30. 00-$50. 00 range (with 100% positive feedback). This car puts all of those to shame. I've set the reserve low as usual so this car will sell to the highest bidder next Monday. As always. I highly recommend anyone interested come see this car in person. But be warned. if you drive it. you will fall in love and want to take it home. It is like floating on a cloud or riding down the road on your couch. It has no weird quirks or rattles or noises. It starts with a bump of the key every time. The 462 runs very strong and smooth. This is one of the few classic cars you can hand the keys to your wife without hesitation. It is easy to drive with power steering. power brakes. power windows. power seat. power top. etc. The only non original thing I've done to it is add a remote for the top. It works from 100m and since the tops on these cars unlocked and locked automatically you can completely open and close the top with the push of the button on the remote.
