LOTUS ELAN PLUS 2 130/S PROJECT FOR SALE OFFERED FOR SALE IS MY PROJECT OF THE LAST 7 YEARS. I HAVE DECIDED TO LET HER GO AS MY PRIORITIES HAVE CHANGED AND IT IS LIKELY I WILL NEVER FINISH HER. THE BODY HAS BEEN 90% STRIPPED OF THE BLUE PAINT THAT WAS ON IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT. I USED AN ORANGE CHEMICAL STRIPPER. I DON’T KNOW IF THE BLUE WAS THE ORIGINAL COLOR BUT IT APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN. THE BODY HAS A SPOT OF BONDO. NOT VERY THICK. ON THE RIGHT REAR PANEL THAT CAN BE SEEN IN THE PHOTOS. THERE ARE A FEW VERY MINOR SMALL CRACKS IN THE FIBERGLASS. ALL IN ALL THE BODY IS IN GREAT CONDITION. I HAVE TAKEN OUT THE STEEL REINFORCING BARS THAT ATTACH INSIDE THE BODY UNDER THE DOORS AND HAD THEM STRIPPED AND POWDER COATED AND REINSTALLED THEM WITH SS FASTENERS. THE HEAD LIGHT PODS ARE THERE AS IS ALL THE GLASS. I HAVE ALL THE CHROME TRIM WHICH IS STARTING TO RUST AS ARE THE BUMPERS. I HAVE PURCHASED 80 – 90 % NEW INTERIOR PIECES WHICH ARE MOSTLY SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS. I BOUGHT NEWLY STUFFED AND UPHOLSTERED FRONT SEATS WITH NEW RAILS. NEW CRASH PAD AND REAR DECK. NEW DASH BOARD AND REAR QUARTER PANELS. NEW DOOR PANELS. A BRAND NEW CARPET SET. ALL OF THE OLD INTERIOR THAT WAS REMOVED IS INCLUDED AS WELL. THE CHASSIS WAS TOTALLY STRIPPED AND POWDER COATED RED. I PUT IN ALL NEW BUSHINGS. REBUILT THE BRAKES WITH SS PISTONS AND LINES WITH NEW DISCS AND ROTORS. NEW WHEEL BEARINGS THROUGHOUT. SPYDER FRONT WISHBONES AND DROP LINK BUSHINGS. NEW STEERING RACK BELLOWS AND CLAMPS. NEW FRUSTACONES. NEW ADJUSTABLE SHOCKS AND SPRINGS AT THE CORNERS. DIFFERENTIAL BEARINGS AND SEALS REPLACED. ALL FRONT AND REAR END PARTS POWDER COATED. AND NEW WIRING HARNESS. VIN #0254N THE HEAD AND THE 711 BLOCK HAVE BEEN METICULOUSLY STORED OVER THE PAST 5 OR 6 YEARS. TOTALLY WRAPPED IN PLASTIC AS SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS. THE HEAD IS STILL IN IT’S PACKING BOX AND HAS NEVER BEEN UNWRAPPED. ALL OF THE PARTS REMOVED FROM THE ORIGINAL CAR ARE INCLUDED. SHIPPING OF THIS PROJECT COULD BE AN ISSUE. ALL OF THE NEW AND OLD PARTS WILL NOT FIT INSIDE OF THE CAR SO A CAR TRANSPORTER WILL NOT WORK. THE BEST SCENARIO WOULD BE A PICKUP TRUCK WITH A CAR TRAILER. SINCE THE CAR WAS APART I COULD NOT BRING IT TO THE DMV FOR VERIFICATION. YOU GET THE BILL OF SALE FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER AND EVERYTHING I HAVE FROM THE CA. DMV.
