Description

This is being RE-LISTED due to a confused Bidder / Winner. The Winner was unable to determine exactly where this car was located while submitting multiple bids spread out over a few days. After the auction closed the Winner retracted his bid. stating that he thought the car was on the EAST COAST. So at this time I'm re-submitting the car and the listing exactly as it was listed before. Good luck and happy bidding. This is a "California Car" that was originally sold in San Diego California. I found it in Modesto California where I purchased it in 2003 with 218. 00 miles on the original untouched motor. I brought it down to Santa Clarita California. where it's been garaged and covered since. Everything works. including the original clock. In 2005 At 236. 00 miles 2nd gear syncro went. so at that time the original untouched motor was rebuilt as it had to come out to re-build the gearbox. When the motor was rebuilt it was not punched out. it was rebuilt back to spec to help retain it original reliability. Since then the mainshaft bearing in the gearbox came loose and started making noise. so last year the gearbox was rebuilt again. it's still the original numbers housing with all fresh parts installed. The air conditioner worked when I bought it. but I disconnected the fan belt after the motor was rebuilt in 2005. as you can seen in one of the motor photos. It came with all of the original smog pump hardware. and it still works like a charm. I upgraded it to to:Restored 16 inch Fuchs. 7's front and 8's rear with Yokohama S-Drive tires. It's been Lowered to the European ride height with rolled fenders. It came with 15 inch Fuchs. 6's front and 7's rear. Performance Muffler. adds better airflow and gives it a more throaty sound. (see photo)Cabriolet Engine Mounts and Rennline Front Stabilizer to minimize overall suspension flex. Original Spare Tire in the trunk with the Porsche Tool Kit and Air compressor. Extra belts too. Original Headliner is in good condition. and works well with the sunroof. Porsche vintage mirror covers and matching Bra. I've recently added Rally Grills over the H4 headlights. Turbo Carrera Steering Wheel. Carrera Electric Seats. Porsche Factory Short Shift Kit with Leather Boot. replaced the door pockets with better condition replacements. Nakamichi CD with Custom Sub-Woofer box behind the drivers seat. Boston Acoustic speakers all around with Alpine Amps. It has just a few cracks on the dash. but the interior is in overall really good condition for it's age. The windows are tinted. the back has "Limo" tint which is darker. which helps keep the headlight's from the car behind you from shining in your eyes at night. Slotted rotors were installed in 2003. the brakes new as of June 2014. I have an extensive paperwork history dating back to the original owner and a full set of Porsche Shop Manuals. I have a Roll-bar that was never installed along with quite a few other goodies that will accompany the car. I also had the car appraised. and will provide the "National Appraisal" documents to the new owner. as it shows more details about the car and it's value at that time. (see the attached photo) This car is not in perfect condition but it's a real head turner. it has the usual paint chips and dings that you'd expect on a vintage original car. There is a dent on the top of the right fender under the bra. and the hood has been resprayed by the previous owner. which now has little chip marks and small crack lines due to aging. The key on the passenger door next to the handle was for an alarm that the original owner installed. but is no longer working. nor do I have that key. This car just passed California Smog Test and has a current registration. runs good. and looks great for it's age. It does drip a little oil under the engine. which I've elected not to fix as it just sit's most of the time covered in my garage on a trickle charger. It currently has 273. 69 miles on it. but that will change as I need to run it again to keep the tires from flat spotting. Quite a bit of work has been done to this car to keep it's original composure instead of restoring it. It's a wonderful car to drive. especially out on the open road. Please ask questions. I will respond. Local pick-up preferred. but that's not set in stone. Sold as is without warranty. This vehicle listed for sale locally in Southern California. if it sells. the auction will be cancelled. It currently has personalized license plates. which will not be included with the sale of this vehicle. On Mar-09-15 at 12:10:33 PDT. seller added the following information:Update:The car's odometer now has turned a little over 275. 00 miles. as we drove it from Santa Clarita California it up the coast to Carpentaria California and back drive putting a couple hundred miles on it. It was great day for a coastal cruise with the sunroof open and the windows down. We're sure going to miss this wonderful car.
