Hello. I’m selling my Celica GTS 2zz-ge swapped 1986 Toyota MR2. I’ve owned the car since 08’. Did the engine swap 3 years ago. Now that the car cannot be smogged in California I must let her go to a new home. Engine had approx 85k on the clock when purchased. Have driven about 10k since. Here are some of the pro’s/con’s about this fun little beast: Pro’s: - 2000 Toyota Celica GTS 2zz-ge Engine w/ C60 6-speed manual trans- Engine maintenance completed before installed (timing chain. tensioners. rails. oil pump. water pump. lift bolts. nbsp;solenoid filters)- Engine has only had Mobil 1 5w-30 since it's birth. I knew the previous owner before the Celica was wrecked. - Lightened flywheel with OEM + clutch. Drives and feels like stock. - Full evap/emissions have been converted to 2000 standards. SMOG report included. - Injen cold air intake. HKS SC Exhaust. DD Engineering Headers - Rebuilt steering rack with new boots. bushings. tie rods. - New clutch and brake master cylinder - Techna-fit Stainless brake lines - Ground Control coilovers with KYB GR2 shocks (rides comfy!) - 16” SSR Longchamp KAI XR-4Z 3 piece rims. Tires have lots of meat! - Great sounding stereo system! o Alpine USB supported headunit o Custom sub box w/ TB 8” high excursion driver o New sub amp. new door and dash speakers (pulled my old setup) - AC Converted to R134a using 2zz compressor. Blows cold even in CA summer heat - REAL Nardi TRD steering wheel w/ Personal hub. - New leather shifter boot with Blitz knob. Celica GTS Petals. - Heater/AC controls converted to 87+ style (fixes recirc issue) - New windshield - Onboard OBDII monitor - Modified Clock that includes outside temp sensor - 2nd gen MR2 front map light - 87+ Black Headliner with Sunroof cover - Clifford IG alarm w/ Engine start. prox sensor and 1 touch up/down windows - Heated seats!!- JDM Side Markets and TwinCam 16g sticker (shipped from Japan) Con’s: - Paint is fairly clean however body isn’t perfect. - No major rust on the body however there are a couple cracks in the paint where rust will show through. Wheel arches are clean. - Minor engine oil leak (I believe it’s the front main crank) - Minor trans leak (axle seal or speed sensor) - Interior isn’t perfect but dash pad has 0 cracks! - Not street legal in California :( - Injen intake causes high idle. I haven't driven it really in about a year due to tags in California. - Registration is good till May. I have 2 temp passes to move the car. - The EVAP swap only allows you to fill the tank 7/8 of the way. Same issue with V6 MK2 swap guys. Not a big issue but wanted to call it out. - Reverse is a bit tricky due to the extra gate added to the shifter. I've added a reverse light on the dash so you know when you've found it :)- 5-4 downshift is not the happiest shift. 1-6 works beautifully without any grind. Known issue with 00-01 C60 transmissions. I just didn't feel like upgrading the syncros. - There is no trunk interior as the tail lights leak water. You can order new seals on kbox. ca to fix the issue. - This car does have a rear sway bar! Not all 86's had them. I pulled this one off another car a while ago. - I have a couple extra oil filters. Will include :)
