Description

No Reserve! Cool old car. I bought it on eBay under the impression that it needed nothing but a small oil leak fixed and that the body was mint. After shipping it 2500 miles. I learned that wasn't the case. The car is very original. The body is virtually rust free. but there are a few small spots. It appears to have never been in an accident. but there are small dings and scratches here and there. It is a 10 footer. It is an excellent candidate for an easy repaint. There would be no metalwork involved at all. just a light skim coat in a few spots. The mileage is unknown. The odometer broke at about 275K miles. but I have no idea how long ago that was. I know I am the 3rd owner. I've put a lot of money into the motor. It had a terrible oil leak when I got it. and I think that is fixed now. The motor runs smooth but idles high because I haven't had it fine tuned. Some of the hoses are cracked and sucking a little air. so this has to be addressed first. It also blows smoke. but I don't know how bad it really is because of the tuning issue. Transmission seems to shift fine. There is a slight hiccup every once in a while while on the highway. but I can't tell if it needs a transmission service or if it's because of the engine tuning. The car starts right up. drivers nice and straight. rides very well and brakes well. The interior is pretty good. The rear seats need to be repadded. There are a few cracks on the dash and door panels. The floors are solid as can be. but I think the sunroof drain lines are not working properly because the car isn't water tight and I don't think it's the doors or windows. I'm not sure if the A/C works properly. Lots of people say "it just needs to be charged". but I haven't even checked. Same with the sunroof and radio. I haven't investigated why they don't work. Could be a fuse for all I know. Tires are brand new. Less than a thousand miles on them. Trunk is solid but seal leaks. All the carpets and floor mats are in good shape. That's about all I know. I bought the car thinking it was near perfect and got burned. I now have $4000 in the car and I'm ready to move on. On Mar-30-15 at 03:26:14 PDT. seller added the following information: Oops. I made a big mistake. The odometer actually broke at 175K miles. not 275K miles. So I would guess the car actually has closer to 200K miles. not 300K miles.
