The time has come to sell my baby Benz. I have enjoyed owning this car and hope the new owner will too.
If your looking for something a bit different from the usual Cosworth Benzs this maybe your ride. The manual 2.6 is even rarer than 2.3-16 with a take rate of around 5% in the US. The inline 6 is a great torquey motor that doesn't need to be revved as much as the 2.3-16 to make power. If your tired of all those E30 Bimmers getting all the love then step right up!
I'm the second owner and have all the paper work from new, ncluding the original msrp sticker. New York state car that was not driven in the winter and always garaged. Sometimes no rust does apply to northern cars! The car has been in Texas since I purchased it.
Beside the manual transmission, his Benz is equipped with Palomino Leather not MB Tex which is what the majority of 190e models have. It also has the very rare rear headrests ($295 option). Full equipped it has a anti-theft alarm system, lectronic sunroof, bs, ecker cassette player, ruise control, lectronically adjustable front seats, ower windows and locks. All electronics are fully functional.
Great highway cruiser, drove it from Upstate New York to Dallas without missing a beat. The car is daily driven and not a garage queen. Regularly get about 23 mpg. There are small scratches, ut nothing that would detract from the overall condition of the car. The paint is great condition with no fading. The driver's side turn signal has a light scrap from a tire that came flying at me from a truck in Memphis that I could not avoid. The lens is not cracked just has a dark smear from were the tire made contact. The passenger side corner of the front bumper has a light scrap from the previous owner. The rear passenger door is delaminating from the window, othing serious just slightly out. The driver's seat bolster will need some attention. The front arm rest is worn from use and the front passenger seat has a tiny rip on the bottom seat cushion. I have conditioned and maintained the seats during my ownership and nothing has gotten worse since purchasing.
The AC is non-op and will need a new condenser and dryer. The blower switch will need to be replaced. The heater does work as do the both defrosts. Just had a engine bracket replaced, rive belt and oil change. She is ready for you to enjoy.
