1980 Mercedes Benz 450sl KOENIG SPECIALS WIDEBODY with Recaro Classic seats

I will separate the description into 4 categories; exterior. interior. engine. overall Exterior: The exterior is gloss black and is in good shape for the year. It definitely needs a paint job but it's a good candidate. No rust or body damage. just some cracking in spots. The rear trunk was reinforced for the spoiler that was mounted. I have attached a picture of The spoiler that is included in the sale. Interior: Inside are a rare set of recaro Classic C seats. They definitely need to be refinished. Also has a Recaro steering wheel that is matched to the interior color. The heat works great. I do not have the radio faceplate. The windows work great. they go all the way up and all the way down. no problems there. Engine: The engine and trans are in great mechanical condition but could use a tune up. It's a little slow and when you push the accelerator it bogs. This is only when it's cold. When it warms up the car runs great. Little high on the rpms but this car has not driven in years. Overall: I belive this a great candidate for a restoration project. The body is solid and mechanically sound. I would not hesitate to drive this cross country.
