Description |
---|
1985 Mercedes 500sec with Koenig or Koenig style body kit. I do not know or have any documentation showing it as a real Koenig, but the bodywork does look to be done to a high standard. If you know of anything specific to look for let me know and I'll be happy to look and take additional photos. It also has a two tone red and white interior.
Mechanical: This is a project. It does not run. There was a minor engine fire which is why the car was parked. It will also need exhaust work because someone cut the catalytic converter off at one point. The springs are wrong for the car and stock. Lowering springs and wheel spacers would get it back to the right stance. The brakes and steering work fine. The wheels are 18x9.5 up front and 18x11 in the rear.
Body: While the body work was done well, at some point after it was poorly painted white (previous color red) it will also need some fiberglass work and minor body work in the rear panel between the tailights (see photo). I do have the rear bumper cover, it is off the car but included and will need some fiberglass work as well.
Interior: The seat upholstery is in good shape, dash is decent with minor cracks. The drivers door panel is rough, but passenger side is decent. Some parts are missing like the radio and hvac controls.
Clean title and clean carfax (I can send a copy on request). If you're looking for a widebody Mercedes project this is a great start.
I can assist a shipper with loading.
