1999 Mercedes S500, W140, 140K Miles, 4th owner, Well Maintained with Records

Runs and drives great. Transmission shifts smooth and stops as it should. I am the 4th owner of this car and have used it regularly over the past year, ncluding many road trips. Ready to drive anywhere and includes a set of good condition rear snow tires (not mounted). Driven with confidence in the snow throughout last winter, ne of the worst the northeast has seen! No problem for this big heavy car with traction control, BS, nd heated seats. Currently has 142,000 miles

Updated stereo head unit with blue tooth and custom pro-clip phone mount in the dash (no cutting), ounds amazing with the factory BOSE system and sync’s up with the phone perfectly. Factory OEM head unit comes with the car. Front Michelins with 75% tread, ear tires are Hankooks brand new less than 5k miles. Comes with a set of rear snow tires for the winter in good condition. Interior is in good condition with some minor wear on the rear seats. Original front floor mats are well worn. Small tear on the glove box door above the vents, asily replaced.. Air conditioning blows cold.

Recent Maintenance includes: Mercedes specialist professionally replaced power steering box (remanufactured OEM part), ear springs and shocks replaced with OEM Bilsteins and non-SLS Mercedes springs. Complicated and extremely expensive to fix self-leveling hydraulic rear suspension has been bypassed. A well know modification, ooping the hydraulic line to the rear allows the pump to run free and negates future service. Most W140’s ride low in the back, ot this one! Sits at the correct height and rides like a cloud. Suspected accumulators had failed before bypassing the system. Front suspension is OEM coils and springs (this is a non ADS car – NO adaptive suspension).

Front brake rotors replaced. All (4) original wheels refinished, ull size spare on new Michelin Tire in the trunk. Replaced front drivers side upper control arm (lemforder part, elican Parts). Coolant flushed and updated to current MB Fluid. oil (synthetic) and filter change, ess than 200 miles. Cylinder #6 coil pack replaced with MB part, xtra coil comes with the car. Brand New key from Mercedes, ne extra key fob and valet keys. new wiper blades. New gas cap.

All records – receipts going back to the previous owner from 60,000 miles. books, ools.

There is some rust in the wheel wells as shown in the pictures, ut hardly noticeable. The trunk had rust under one tail light – I took everything out, emoved the rust and rattle canned with black paint, ooks fine from 5 ft, ut more importantly no more rust. Trunk is clean and rust/moisture free. Could use a new rubber trunk seal. Power antennae is not working. The front grille has a small dent, ictured. All other dents were professionally removed by Dent Dr when I got the car. The front bumper needs to be re-sprayed, ainting is lifting off in spots – front bumper only. NO check engine lights.

I had the car professionally detailed inside and out. The paint still looks great and I get compliments everywhere I go. So smooth and quiet on the highway you don’t realize how fast you’re going. This full size car is pretty quick. Lots of legroom due to the longer wheelbase. I am a long time Mercedes enthusiast and I’ve really enjoyed my time with the car but we are moving and I need the space.
