Description

For sale is a 2002 Mercedes CLK 430 Cabriolet. This is the last year of the A208 (W208 style in hard-top) and one of the best available with only 61,000 Miles. Everything functions as it should and the car is amazing fun to drive. The previous owners used it as a 3rd car at their vacation home, reflected in the short miles.
This car is optioned with the 4.3L v-8 making 275 hp and 295 ft-lb of torque, through an automatic 5-speed transmission with sport gear selector (tiptronic), and it moves. Beyond quick, this car is also perfect for the occasional long haul to the beach with 28+ mpg on the highway.
I purchased this car in November with 52,000 miles, and it essentially sat at school (or at home when snow was coming) unless I was driving off campus for a car show in clear weather. I now work about 45 miles away, and the daily 90-mile commute has added up quickly. The car has had two oil changes in the time that I've owned it, the most recent just over 2,000 miles ago. I always use Mobil1 0w-40 and a new Mobil1 filter with each change, but can't justify to myself driving a car with so few miles into the ground so quickly.
I have recently replaced a crank position sensor, air intake duct, and front shocks and steering dampener, all of which was done by Rodger's Radiator service in Woburn, MA. The car needed some polishing, but now runs and drives very well. I've had it inspected by several mechanics (for variouspiecesofmaintenance) all of whom have come back letting me know it is "the cleanest car thisage" theyhave ever seen (including suspension bushings and wear items in the driveline).
The car also has been coated in "CorrosionFREE 3000" rust proofing by Larson's auto body in Peabody, for the occasional times I had to take it out in the snow.
As part of the asking price, the car will go with a set of Borbet 16" wheels with Champiro Winter Pro 205/55R16 snow tires that have 60% tread left (used two seasons). These wheels are PICTURED OFF THE CAR
The S55 Monoblocks pictured (on the car) will be negotiated separately (and ARE NOT PART OF THIS SALE)
Miles will go up as I must drive to work every day.
