(High Bidder of 15K wanted to make payments so the cyclone is relisted at a low low price). I have a solid clean original 1964 Mercury comet cyclone for sale. It is a factory 4 speed with the 289 engine . actory bucket seats. working tachometer. cyclone hubcaps and more. This cyclone is Very Clean with NO RUST on the front and rear floor boards. No rust in the toe boards . hock towers or in the trunk or gas tank or underneath the hood and trunk. Car came from the high desert country where the roads are never salted and little rain. The interior is clean with no rips on the seats or carpets. it still has the original cyclone seat belts and a working tachometer. All the emblems are there nothing is missing. Rocker moldings are there. the 4 wheel lip moldings are there all the cyclone badges and flag are there all the comet letters are there . None of those rare and hard to find parts are missing everything is there like it came in 1964. Even the original headliner is there with the 4 chrome bows as well as the console lid emblem all there. This car was never abused or in a wreck. NO BONDO not a rust bucket but a clean west coast survivor. Even the front bumpers are still shiny with no rust as well as the grill. The previous owner wanted more power so professionally installed a new set of headers. new 3 inch exhaust pipes . ew dual mufflers with a completely new dual exhaust system. . I have the original C4 exhaust manifold with the original 4 barrel carb/block that goes with the car if you want to go back to stock. This cyclone engine and drive train is very strong the car is very solid and a true cyclone not a caliante cloned over . A two-tone paint job was available. accenting the arrow-shaped metalwork that stretched the entire length of the car. Swept wheel arches and a pillarless hardtop coupe design added to the look of speed and performance. Much like the Ford Falcon. with which it shared a common compact unibody platform. the 1964 Comets were available as a two-door sedan. four-door sedan. four-door station wagon. A special two-door hardtop coupe or two-door convertible was available in the top “Caliente” trim level. and the performance “Cyclone” trim level was offered in the two-door hardtop coupe format.
