I have a nice 1965 Mercury Cyclone up for your consideration. I bought this car to preform arotisserierestoration but due to health issues I now, reluctantly offer it to you.
The body has surface rust but, other then the front floor pans, is not too bad. The doors have rust in the shell and skin flanges but no holes. The rockers and quarters are rot free as well.I feel that a complete media blasting would take care of it then after paint, a shot of motor oil would keep the remaining internal surface rust at bay.The trunk gutters would need to be replaced as would the front floor boards. There is some rot in the front apron where it meets the core support mostly on the left side.Ask me forspecificpictures and they can be sent to ether your phone or e mail.
The DSO is veryinteresting. It is a 84 which translates as "Home Office Reserve" and the rear is a "A" which translates as a "Locker" For those of you that are notfamiliarwith this, aspecialorder car's combinations that was not available through dealer option check lists were run through the Home Office..or simply theCorporateoffice.
I am not exactly sure as to what or why this car was ordered this way but, it is special for some reason!
The original bucket seats will need to be re done as will the rear seats. I only have the rear seat frame / springs. The engine looks to be a 1968 302. I have not attempted to turn it over so the internal condition is unknown.
The original T-10 4 speed is still in the car, the shifter will need to be replaced or rebuilt as it is rusty, missing the shifter ball and thereverselock out is not complete.
I have a set of Cyclone hub caps that will come with the car if you wish. I also have a complete dash mounted Rally Pac with the Tack,Vacuumand Clock gauges listed in aseparateauction. Also listed in aseparateauction is a re chromed 1965 Cyclone steering wheel and horn ring.
I will be listing a date code correct, for this car's date of manufacture, HiPo block, HiPo 4 bbl. intake, HiPo heads, dual pointdistributor, alternator...so if yourinterested, take a look!
Please ask any and all questions before bidding. Also, a $500 deposit is due, through Pay Pal immediatelyafter auction's end!
There will be no refunds!
You are responsible for all shippingarrangements.Thank you for looking and happy bidding!
