It is based on the Mitsubishi 3000GTO, sold in the US and European markets as a 3000GT and in twin turbo form as the VR4. The first year 1991 coupe was slated to be the pace car for that year’s Indy 500 but was replaced at the last minute by a Viper after protests from the UAW. The Spyder bodywork is a factory-contracted conversion from new hatchback donor models. In 1995, 31 and in 1996, 46 VR4 conversions were built by ASC in California, ith the VR4 version first priced at an MSRP of $64,449. I am the second owner of this Spyder. The description put forward in this listing is as complete and accurate as my personal knowledge of the vehicle allows, s accrued during my ownership, rom 2006. I have no prior records other than the original service booklets. I have no information regarding any prior ownership history nor other service records.

All service or replacement parts are new original manufacturer products and all work was performed by a qualified Mitsubishi dealership.
