NO RESERVE, 1989 Camaro 5.0 V8, Automatic

Solid car throughout, hat starts without hesitation and runs / drives better than one might expect from a 1980’s GM. Just under 95,575 miles on the odometer.

Starts, uns, hifts, nd handles without flaw. From a reliability perspective, his car is all there.

INTERIOR

o Upholstery is pretty good, ’d say 8/10 with no rips or major flaws otherwise. The front seats fabric is little worn (maybe dingy is the better word) but well within the realm of several more years of service, nd would likely clean up quite well.

o Interior plastics are all there and in great shape. The notoriously ‘saggy’ interior door handles were replaced with a new set two years ago. The new set was OEM black, yed to red. On the driver’s side, he black is beginning to show through the red a bit.

o The radio is all original, ll there, nd playing it takes one straight back to cruising in the 1980’s, hen the world was plagued by AC Delco’s poor attempt at audio engineering. It sounds terrible.

o Both power windows work, ut the passenger side needs a bit of help from time to time. Pretty common for these cars, nd usually easily corrected via a cleaning of the dirt prone regulator assembly.

ENGINE

o Has had some work done to address a nuisance oil leak that developed around 80k miles.

o Recent new battery and starter.

o A/C blows cold as it should, nd has been converted to R-134A refrigerant recently.

BODY

o Tires are less than a year old and well under 5,000 miles of use.

o Car has been resprayed, actory color. I’d give it a 7.5 to 8/10. Not without flaw, ut not bad from a couple feet away, nd great cruising down the road.

o Car has a few minor dings in the hood and in a few other places, ut is in overall pretty good shape. The front lower cowl has a bit of curb rash. Someone peeled some paint on the driver side rear pillar after ripping off a charity car wash sign that had been duck-taped to the car for the benefit of attracting business.
