Description

For auction is my 2005 Nissan 350z Touring Roadster with 54. 54 miles as of the date this is being listed. I don't use the car as a daily driver. but the mileage may increase very slightly as time goes by. The color is black with the rare and highly sought after factory option of burnt orange leather seats with black mesh inserts. I am the second owner of this vehicle and bought it from a Pennsylvania Nissan dealer near Philadelphia in early 2007 as a Nissan Certified Used Vehicle along with a 5 year bumper to bumper extended warranty (expired in November 2012). I live in North Carolina now. and have a clear title and own the car outright. At the time of my purchase. this Z had about 20. 77 miles or so on the odometer. I have babied this car since the day I bought it. always keeping it in the garage and being sure to have the oil and filter changed at least every 3500-4000 miles either by the Nissan dealer or by me personally. I only use Mobil 1 synthetic. The 30. 00 mile factory recommended service was performed by Nissan at the proper time. I am now reluctantly selling it only because I have too many toys. so I have to downsize a bit. Below listed is everything I know about the car during my ownership. and even what I know of its history before I bought the car. I keep all records of services performed by the dealer:Factory FeaturesV6 3. 5 Liter Engine6 Speed Manual TransmissionFactory HID Xenon HeadlightsPower Retractable Convertible TopTraction ControlFactory alarm and disabling feature requiring factory keys for start-up. 2 factory keys and 2 remote key fobs for factory alarm and door locks. trunk release. 4 Wheel ABSAir ConditioningPower Windows and Door LocksPower SteeringDual Power Seats with Seat Warmer ControlsSteering Wheel Mounted Cruise ControlNissan Homelink Rear View Mirror with Remote Transmitter (for Garage Door Opener) and Auto Dimming FeatureDual Front Air Bags and Side Airbags built into seats. 18" Factory Alloy 6 Spoke Wheels 4 Kumho Ecsta ASX tires installed on less than 2000 miles ago on April 8. 2013 Factory Tire Pressure Monitoring SystemBose 6 CD Changer with AM/FM Radio and Cassette PlayerBose Premium Sound System with Sub-WooferGPS DVD Navigation System with Motorized Door and speaking feature (updated with 2012 Nissan Maps DVD)Vehicle DetailsENGINE AND ELECTRICAL As the pictures show. the car is in excellent shape. The engine is perfect and completely stock except for a Jim Wolf Technology (JWT) conical air filter that adds a few more horses and gives the Z a great intake growl. This can easily be swapped back to stock in about 15 minutes. I have the OEM air box and filter which will be sold with the car. I will swap it back to the OEM airbox if the winning bidder desires. Oil and filter changes were done by Nissan. or by me personally at least every 3500 to 4000 miles. The 30. 00 mile service was performed at the proper mileage range. where all fluids were changed. and the car checked by Nissan as recommended by the factory service manual. I have all of the service records for any such Nissan services. as well as annual inspection paperwork. etc. There are no mechanical or electrical issues whatsoever that I know of with this car. Everything runs and works exactly as it should. No leaks of oil or any other fluid (never one drop of anything on the garage floor in all the years I have owned the car. and it is always garaged). The clutch and gear shifter is original and flawless. and I added 4 new tires about 2. 00 miles ago. Anything that needed attention on the car was immediately rectified under my extended warranty. For example. in 2010 I had a new thermostat put in under warranty. Prior to that. I had a new clutch master cylinder put in under warranty. I also had a recommended TSB service done by Nissan under warranty to regrease the rear axle. This was a common issue with 350z's where insufficient grease caused a harmless but annoying clicking noise. No problems since. That is about it for any mechanical items that required warranty work during my ownership of the car. I have all of these records. I installed a new heavy-duty battery about 2 years ago and I put a hook-up for a battery tender to keep the battery charged (due to garaged non-use during winter and throughout the year). Factory A/C blows ice cold. and the heat and other climate controls function flawlessly as well. Power seats. windows. cruise control. heated seats and anything else of that nature work perfectly. PAINT AND BODY The paint and body is in great shape. The car does not know what rust is. It also doesn't know what snow looks like. I am meticulous about my cars and have had the entire front bumper professionally surfaced and painted in late 2012 due to the common small rock chips on the paint from the highway. and that were bothering me. In 2011. someone in a parking lot scraped the rear bumper. I had the entire back bumper professionally refinished and repainted rather than live with the scrape. Presently the only paint items existing are typical scratches from road use which any car with over 50. 00 miles will have. On the drivers side rear wheel well area I had to do some very small touch ups due to three scratches likely from another bonehead in a parking lot. On the passenger side there is a very tiny and typical ding that is barely noticeable unless you catch it in the right light and the right angle. Probably another ignorant person in a parking lot and likely with a shopping cart resting against my door. It is really nothing more than most cars get in parking lots. On the front hood there are a few typical tiny rock chips from highway pebbles and such. Just what you would expect to see on a car with 50. 00 miles or so. I tried to take pictures but could not get these things to show up in photos. The rear trunk lid has some small marks which again must have been put there from a parking lot. I did some touch up paint on the area that is barely noticeable. That is it for any known paint and body items. The convertible top is in excellent condition. The rear glass window is perfect and the defogger works as it should. The power retractable top works perfectly as it should. I have never had any issues with the convertible top motor or functioning of the top. Tires were installed about 2 years/2000 miles ago are Kumho Ecsta ASX all seasons in the OEM staggered sizes 225/45 18 (Fronts) and 245/45 18 (Rears). I had new front brakes put on the car by Nissan about five years ago and there is plenty of pad left. The rears also have plenty of pad left. The rims are OEM 18". The fronts and one rear do have some very slight curb rash which is typical and not very noticeable unless you really look up close. INTERIOR The interior trim. carpets and seats are in excellent shape. and the leather is in great shape as well. Leather seats were professionally conditioned in 2012. No cracks or splits. etc. Power windows. seats. locks and all other electrical items function perfectly as they should. The interior trim is in excellent shape with just some slight wearing as you would expect near the navigation and shifter bezel from simply use. Nissan used a dimple-like coating on the interior trim that can wear quite a bit if handled roughly. I have been careful with it over the years and this Z benefited from that. VEHICLE HISTORY As stated. I bought the car in early 2007 from a Nissan Dealer. and it was sold as a Nissan Certified Used Vehicle. passing Nissan's rigorous certification process and included a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty that expired in November 2012. The title is clear. and has never been a salvage title or such thing. I now own this car outright and hold the North Carolina title as I paid off the loan recently. There have been no traffic accidents while I owned the car other than the already mentioned minor and expected scrapes/dings from parking lots. rock chips from the highway. or idiots scraping me while parked. and I had both the front and rear bumper professional re-finished and repainted (in 2011 and 2012) simply because these things bothered me from a cosmetic perspective. I am aware only from Carfax that the prior original owner in 2006 reported a minor accident of some sort in NY. However. the authorized Nissan dealer checked the car out from top to bottom and certified it when sold to me. Further. there is no indication of frame damage or anything else significant and I have had no issues in the years I have owned this car. I suspect the 2006 damage was purely cosmetic due to a sight fender bender of some sort. although I cannot tell from the Carfax what was damaged. and I never have been able to tell by looking at the car since the paint and body is. and has always been in such great condition. That is the extent of my knowledge about the car's prior history and I mention this to try to be as honest as I can about my knowledge of the car. Shipping and Payment To protect everyone involved. I will not release the car or sign over the title until I receive full payment in the form of a wire transfer from a recognized bank or cash (preferred) or a certified check from a recognized bank (and that check clears first). I would like a $250 deposit from the winning bidder via paypal to be applied against the balance due on the car while we work out payment arrangements. If you win the auction and back out of the transaction. I will refund your deposit minus any fees I may owe Ebay due to your cancellation. The winning bidder is responsible for shipping. I am willing to work with the buyer in order to deliver the car to a shipper. etc within a reasonable distance from my house. ******************* All in all. I can confidently and fairly rate this car as strongly between "good" to "very good" on the Kelly Blue Book scale. although in most respects this car has many of the attributes in the excellent condition category. I am in fairness calling it good/very good only because of any minor dings or touch ups. Blue Book private sale value is between $14. 75 (for a "good" car") and $14. 91 (for a "very good" car). and $15. 11 (for an "excellent" car"). Given the options on the car and condition range. this is likely still less than what you can expect a dealer to ask for the same car. I have seen this same year Touring package listed by dealers in the $16K and up range. and that is without navigation or the burnt orange leather seats. In the interest of selling the car. I am pricing it very fairly. I have a no reserve starting bid far below even the lower "good" grade of the Blue Book. This is a very reasonable price for a Z in this condition! Please no low ball offers through e-mail asking me to take thousands less than the starting bid. The Z is being sold "as is" and without any warranty. I invite bidders to inspect the car before buying as I have complete confidence in its condition. I will answer questions as soon as possible. usually within 24 hours of the e-mail. Again. please do not e-mail me simply to see if I will take some very low amount for the car. GOOD LUCK!
