It is a privately-owned unit that was traded in to our dealership - it is NOT something we bought at an auction. it is NOT a repo. it is NOT a salvage piece. We avoid items like those. for the same reason you do - you just don't know what you're getting. But if a customer wants to trade an item like this in. towards an RV purchase. well. equity is equity. and if we think we can sell it. we'll take it on trade! This little Nissan is FUN. wow!! I hopped in it today to check it out for this ad (naturally it's raining) and boy. does it make some power! It fires right up. runs nice and smooth. the transmission shifts nicely. there's not a ton of rattling or clanking like I'd expect from a convertible (I was very surprised at how solid this car is). the brakes work great. and the tires look great too! The top does work. but I wasn't going to drop it in a rainstorm - sorry! The worst part about this car is. normal use. It's been driven. It's been maintained. but it's been driven. There are some rub marks and small scratches on the bodywork. but I don't see any signs of paintwork. The worst is in the photos. there's one ding in the hood with about a 1. 5" scrape through it. The rest look like they'll buff out. There's a couple spots on the drivers rear wheel where a tire machine knocked the finish off the lip. And the interior has some scratches around some of the controls - door handles. dash cover buttons. radio buttons. stuff like that (like maybe the owner had long nails or something). Easy enough for the new owner to touch up. though. with some black paint - or just live with it. it doesn't affect how the car works at all. And I tell you - this little guy screams! I couldn't pop it too hard on wet roads. but I could feel it really wanting to get crazy - whoever gets this car is going to have a ton of fun with it!
